This Sunday at Lambeau Field the Packers will retire and honor #92 Reggie White. If thats not enough to get the Pack fired up for a game then I don't know what is. Thank you Reggie you helped bring some glory back to Green Bay. I'll be excited to see you inducted into the Hall of Fame as a Packer. Rest in Peace #92. I'm sure you'll be watching Sunday.

Honoring him for his legendary football play or legendary racism?

Did Reggie White use racial stereotypes in one infamous and unfortunate speech? Yes. Did Reggie White ever say that one race was superior to another race? I don't ever remember hearing Reggie say anything of the sort. If he did, by all means, please document it by posting a link in this thread. The man made a mistake. On a weekend where he is being honored for all the good things that he brought to the game of football, do we really have to rip the man apart for being human and making a error? The truth is that Reggie White was the greatest defensive end in NFL history and he deserves this honor. I wish he were still with us to see it.

Finally someone said something. My personal beliefs is not to talk "trash" when someone is going to get honored or has even past. He deserves this. It's been a while since a Packer legend's # was retired. Reggie most def derserves this.

Does anyone know if Reggie White is the first player to have his number retired by two different teams? I'm pretty sure the Eagles are retiring his number, too.

THE JAPANESE AND other Asians are inventive, and "can turn a television into a watch,"

The great words of reggie white. If that isnt racism, nothing is. That is racism, it implies certain races are better at certain things. The truth is that individuals are better at things, than other individuals. It would be like me saying arabs are good at blowing up innocents. I am sure i woudl be blasted. Finally, he wasnt even that good of a football player, a HOFer yes, but not one of the 5 best of all time at his position.

My lord you Bias towards him is ridiculous. Let the man rest in peace! We all make fricken Mistakes and unless you super sensitive then the things he said really weren't that bad! It wasn't racism, rascism is negative, that was stereotyping! which can be applied in negative and somewhat positive ways IE All Asians are good a Math, White men can't jump, Black men a super fast, Blondes are dumb etc.

Reggie White was criticised for him comments and rightly so, but put in the proper context of his life, it was obvious that his intentions were good even if his words were poorly chosen. It's a shame that after all the good that the man did, that people drag up that one mistake and continue to flog him for it. Be honest, BF1, the real reason your demonizing Reggie is because he's a Packer.
