<div class="quote_poster">Quoting upsidedownside7:</div><div class="quote_post">Pacers just said they want young prospects, cap relief and picks for Artest.

    Only possible scenarios:
Pietrus, Cheaney, Biedrins/Diogu and a 1st for Artest.

It's not worth mortgaging the future for someone insane. Pass.</div>

It's crazy. There's a little rumor going around regarding Artest and it is similar to this last suggestion on this board. Don't know how valid it is but it raises my eyebrow.

Apparently Mullin & Walsh have a deal in place that's like what has been quoted except that Diogu is considered untouchable and there's no first rounder.

From Mullin's side, he likes Taft a lot. He was very impressed during his first few games and says Taft is further along than Biedrins.

So Walsh is taking his time pursuing other deals but if the W's make a deal with Indiana it will happen after the game they will play on the 5th. Apparently this is the best deal Walsh has gotten.

So the question lingers...is Artest worth it? I'd say no. He's a great player but he is literally insane. Defensively Artest would give us something but he would eat Monty alive. If Biedrins turns into Camby part 2, this will haunt us for years.

If what this guy told me was completely untrue, Chad Ford (not a great source but better than some guy) says the W's are the team most likely to get him because we have the pieces.

    What does this board think?

Who told you this? We need a valid source. It's defentily interesting, I hope Dunleavy could leave and we keep Biedrins, Pietrus. Maybe, we could get lucky and dump Murphy, Dunleavy on them. I found a trade that works

Successful ScenarioThere were BYC players involved in this trade, so this trade is subject to the BYC provisions of the CBA. Due to Golden State and Indiana being over the cap, the 25% trade rule is invoked. Golden State and Indiana had to be no more than 125% plus $100,000 of the salary given out unless trade exceptions were used for the trade to be accepted, which did happen here. This trade satisfies the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

    LOL...no dude...just no.

Walsh was quoted numerous times saying they do not want to add salary back to the team under any circumstance. Picks, prospects, salary dump is the only thing he'd consider. That is fact. Whether this tidbit I got was valid or not, I guarantee you a bazillion bucks Indiana won't be adding inflated contracts.

Good thing Dunleavy's contract isn't inflated! He's worth every penny!

No. Yeah just don't see it happening that fast if a trade is really actually that close to completion.

If it is close to completion, why doesn't it happen? The rumor is that they just want to wait until the game is over.

If Murphy doesn't play tonight for you guys then the deal would seem almost done.

Yeah, I worded that wrong, but I don't know I guess it just seems really quick, and as usual I'm confusing myself.

It's okay, but you have a great signature. [IMG]

I am anxious about SOMETHING happening, but am concerned about losing Diogu. But, I know Mullin isn't that stupid...hopefully. [IMG]
