    Team Salaries

Keith Van Horn has <font face="ARIAL"><font size="2"><font face="ARIAL"><font face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif"><font color="#000000">$15,694,250 expiring this offseason, and the Mavericks have 3 options

    A) Trade him to a team who wants cap room, his expiring means nothing here
[IMG] Let him walk, which would be pointless
    C) Re-sign him this offseason

What teams would want him though? What would we want in return? Here is a thread to speak about his performances (which have been bad lately), rumours you hear, trades you make up or even suggestions for teams to trade!

    KVH making 15 mill?

Unbeliavable. Damn. What did it take to convince the owner that did that to do that? Shooting as many threes as he can? Wearing long socks? Never tanning himself?

We could probably use Van Horn in some effective trades to bring in some reliable role players. Because Van Horn is not reliable at all, sorry to say. His TO's at crucial points in the game frustrate me most, if I had a hundred dollars for every turnover of his I'd have $15,694,250

We can resign him. Their really is no need for a trade, every team needs a guy that can sit out-side and hit the 3. We cant have our superstar doing that so he is the next best option. Yes he made that stupid play against the Spurs but if we traded away people who blew games for us we'd have an entire new team.

He's worth the veteran's minimum. They just have to tie him up to the bench in crunch situations.

I would let Van Horn go. We don't need any soft players on the team. Van Horn is the only soft player I feel on this team and tends to shy away in the big games. He is good for bench depth but that might not be a good enough reason to keep him.

Well for an enforcer i wouldnt mind. My pick would be to NJ for Marc Jackson. Probably a long shot with the money but they need a 4 to start and in the east he could survive.

    I'd say either A or B...

if we trade him it would have to be a team looking for an expiring contract and we'd probably get little in return. Or we just let him walk. At this point the Mavs don't need to bring in a big player, I think this team right now is perfect, build around this current starting 5.

Why would you want to keep him?

He doesn't bring anything that Stackhouse, Howard, and Daniels don't already do. Don't get in the way of the man's quest to play for every NBA team [IMG] .
