Damm we have the momentum now but we are running out of time. Either score 2 threes or go to the bucket and foul damm.

Where did our defense go? Defense is so horrible right now, even 3 pts can't save this club. And, 3 pts is all we got! I don't know what happened, but now we are starting to roll red carpet to other teams again. Once other players shake the main defender, there is zero help in other side. Forget help defense. At least, don't be a statue when other players are driving toward the hoop. This current club reminds me of old days of PJ and Winter day, right before they got fired...

Don't get NBATV so could not see the game, rebounding again seemed to be a problem. Camby and Najera combine for 26 and the Warrior f/c combination of Murphy, Foyle, Dunleavy, Diogu and Cheaney get 16 TOTAL. Know that the Nuggets shot a high FG% but this seems ridiculous even with Richardson's 12 boards. Could someone (like Kwan)who saw the game give some insight pls?

Yeah I was thinking that too until Dunleavy let the Center go down court for a fly enroute to a dunk. It reminded me of Ben Wallace a few games ago. He looked like he played good defense on Melo in the 4th quarter. I dont think it was really the defense, I think it was loosing the rebounds because we were tipping it to ourselves instead of just grabbing it. I would have liked to see Diogu play. I saw him a little in the beginning of the 4th and he was drawing double teams. That was nice to see...

    Mike Dunleavy
    On the recent losing streak:
“We’re the same team that started out the year. We just aren’t playing the same opponents. We’re not playing Atlanta, Toronto and those teams. The team’s not playing any worse. We’re playing the same. We just aren’t beating the good teams. We’re 28 games into the season. There’s nothing really to panic about. It’s a long year and we just have to take it one game at a time. We’re consistently losing the same way. We get down early and in the end the opponent pulls away for whatever reason."
    -------

Maybe I shouldn't say anything about this comment. But that is Dun's words after the game. He put up some good numbers this game. Good for him.

It will be very nice to have Pietrus back again. Fisher, Pietrus, and Diogu off the bench will be nice. I was hoping that Ellis would have been able to get some minutes to make some noise while Pietrus was/is out, but that I guess was a stupid hope of mine. It doesn't seem to me as if Montgomery is bright enough to know how to get production off the bench. I mean why does Cheaney get more minutes than Diogu, where Cheaney seemed to have done nothing? I am sure Biedrins could have been as productive as Cheaney, but he didn't get any PT this game. But yes, come back Pietrus, please... At least then, all you'd have to do is play those three bench players, which will make Montgomery's job easier, not that it needs to be easier for him. To me it seems as if the starters and the players tonight, for the Warriors played well. But until you can also get some more bench production, it will be very difficult to win very many games, especially against solid opponents. Maybe this is what Dun was saying, I don't know.

Like I've said previously, every team goes through these type of slumps. I think it's important they go through this at this time as it gives them a chance to press the reset button before the All-Star break.

I went to that game and the shot selection was terrible. Those plays for Murphy and Fisher were ridiculous. Foyle was luckily benched but we played small ball and it clearly didn't work out. Murphy & Dunleavy will never work out together. Defensively they are terrible and offensively they have very similar games except Murphy never ever passes.

At the game you could clearly notice the chemistry has completely changed. Baron Davis isn't joking around anymore and JRich was in his own little world.

This team was constructed so poorly, we need some changes all around.

Not panicking, but there is reason for concern when you lose 5 straight. [IMG]

Yeah, 5 game losing streak is tough to swallow. But we knew there were serious flaws in our defense and inside scoring capability from day one. Also, we stand around too much waiting for the ball when everyone should be moving off the ball. Foyle + Murphy aren't really an elite pair of big men such as the ones that go to the playoffs. We're just too soft of a team. Add in Dunleavy and yeah, we're super soft. 6'10 and no post game and he can't even shoot over nobody guarding him. So much for the stat that when Dunleavy scores more than 16 points we win. We need somebody similar to Pietrus or Fisher in our starting lineup that can defend and score. It would be nice if we could move the ball around, but I think this team could develop those instincts as they play together longer.
