Are you dumb? No, don't do that. Shaq is still not back at full health and he's still more useful than Okur. The only thing Okur will do is he might help your treys and won't drag your FT% down as much. Shaq will get you more boards, blocks, points, assists, FG%, etc. Stupid, don't do it.
I would do that trade. Okur at the end of the season will still be playing a lot of minutes while the Heat might rest Shaq and you don't know how many minutes he'll play each night. Okur is an interesting center since he can hit the 3 and still provide in all the other categories. Everyone knows Shaq hurts your FT%, so I might as well not have said it, but I did. Shaq is not as dominant as he once was. TRADE HIM. if not for okur, find someone who you like and trade shaq for him. I never drafted Shaq before and never will.
Yeah I agree, this trade is not as lopsided as people are making it out to be. Okur is one of the top fantasy centers, and I actually see him being more valuable than Shaq. He's capable of 20 and 10 on any given night, makes a lot of threes and is very efficient. Shaq shares the ball with a lot of people who want their touches, and he really only needs to get about 15 and 7 for the Heat to win. Fantasy basketball isn't about big names, it's about who produces NOW. Shaq will have some big nights, but only when Wade, Jwill, and the other role players are off their game. Plus with the re-emergence of Zo, they don't need nearly as much from Shaq. I would do this trade, but try to get Okur and someone else.
Shaq is a keeper, I look at most of the Jazz Boxscores and Okur is inconsistent on a regular basis, usually on the 2nd game of back to back's.
