Eh...I have a ton of receivers, but none of them stand out. If you had to pick two starters from this lame group, who would you pick? Jimmy Smith (vs. Indy) Keenan McCardell (vs. Denver) Eddie Kennison (vs. The Raiders) Lavernaeus Coles (vs. Miami) Jerry Porter (vs. Kansas City) I'm leaning towards L. Coles and J. Smith, but I just have no idea. This is a real "feast or famine" group I'm sporting here. Opinions?

Opinions?
This isn't a stable o' studs by any stretch of the imagination, but I must confess it's a better WR situation than the one I found myself in this year. M. Clayton - T.B. P. Burress - NYG M. Jenkins - ATL Unlike me, You really have some good options here. First of, Jimmy Smith is a must-start playing against the Colts. He has consistantly torched the Colts secondary since the days of the division change and this Sunday will be no different.... I like Kennison as your sencond best bet. In his two match-ups against Oakland last year, he averaged 115 yds in those contests. The newly revamped Raider Offense will keep this one competative and that should entail big numbers from both sides.... come to think of it, since Kennison is such a feast or famine player, you might be able to package him into some kind of deal after he has a good week and pull a classic buy low/sell high move. I don't like Coles, due to the fact that I had him last year and he couldn't get a touchdown to save his life... I'm not that excited about Porter this week either. McCardell would be o.k. if you didn't have anybody else to play, or flex options, But I think his outburst in week 1 against a bewildered Dallas secondary won't be replicated any time soon. The Chargers are still a running team and with Mr. Gates coming back from suspension, McCardell is sure to lose touches. Good luck Kenn. I know you'll make the right decision.
I have to go with Smith and Coles...I'm just not a big fan of Kennison regardless of who he is playing and both Eddie and Keenan have to deal with stud TE's being the first option. Coles was looked to in the redzone against KC and even though he didn't come through I don't think they will shy away..he is definitely Penningtons boy. BTW - Good to see you back gogobroncos..
Thanks for the advice, guys. After much deliberation, I've decided to go with Jimmy Smith and L. Coles for the week. Gonzalez and Holmes/Johnson are going to be the red zone guys, so it'll be 80 yard TD for Kennison or nothing. Feast or famine. Gates is coming back this week for San Diego, so I doubt McCardell will go apeshit like he did last week. Porter says his hammy is 100%, but I'm not convinced. Plus there's the "Randy Ratio" going on there. Moss seems to be the main target in Collins' eyes right now...probalby so he doesn't have to listen to RM bitch at him in the huddle. I'll give Coles another shot, only because he's clearly the main man in Jets land and he'll definitely be out to atone for those three dropped TD passes last week. Coles and Smith are a go. Thanks again, guys!
