Finally the Sycamores get some respect, Indiana St. is going to be good this year IMO. I just feel like Zona is robbed, you guys gotta have some respect for them winning 6-7 games in a row.
Indiana St. is pretty good, but I don't think they're any better than a lot of the other teams in the MVC.

Wins over Northern Arizona, Utah, Western Ky(in OT), St. Mary's, etc doesn't really give me an idea if Arizona is really a top 25 team. Plus, you all don't even have a win over a top 25 opponent yet, so come back to me when you all pick up a quality win...

This is going to hurt Zona's cause unless some other teams step up in the division. Washington & UCLA are looking good, but after those two no one else has really won any meaningful games. Stanford and Oregon have been huge disappointments and the only win over a top 10 team is by Washington over Zaga. Zona's next 9 games are against an underachieving Pac-10 division. I think they have to beat Washington or UCLA plus win at least 6 or 7 of the other games for them to get back in the hunt. So unless they go 7-2 or 8-1 in their next 9 games or teams above them completely flop, they should remain on the outside looking in.

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting TmacGarnett:</div><div class="quote_post">I don't get how UConn is #1 when they lost to marquette or is that in week 8?</div> These rankings only include games played up until Saturday. The loss to Marquette will go into effect in next week's rankings.
Considering the UConn game hadn't happened, I think this is the best poll yet. I'd put Duke behind UConn (before the loss), but I'd put them above 'Nova because they have a better inside game.
While Kentucky has looked horrible this year, I don't see how West Virginia can be ranked ahead of them, because UK beat them earlier in the year by 14 points. George Washington being ahead of N.C. State is als messed up considering N.C. State just beat them last week by 21... Other than that, the rankings look great!

Prior to last week, they weren't even in my top 25, and to stay consistent, I didn't want to skyrocket them up. The loss to Iowa keeps lingering in my mind, I haven't seen an ugly game like that in a longtime. But at 12-1 and some blowouts, I've been warming up to them. I think their next two games should be a strong indicator of how legit they really are.
Week 8 is now updated, and we have a new #1 in the rankings. The Dukies received 4 out of 6 first place votes to take over #1. These rankings do not include the results from Sunday, so the Villanova loss doesn't go into account until next, otherwise Duke likely sweeps all the first place votes. This was the toughest week so far for the rankings. There were so many upsets last week, leading to a record four seperate ties in the votes.
4) Indiana - 129 5) Illinois - 128 7) Michigan State - 102 8) Ohio State - 97 19) Michigan - 35 T21) Iowa - 23 T21) Wisconsin - 23 that's some Big Ten love I'm still surprised GW is #9, but I guess they only have one loss even if they did struggle against MARSHALL (and now go to OT against St. Louis).
