I'm a longtime NBA fan from Belgium Europe...A rather small country created by the Imperialist giants England,France and Germany so they would have a small bit of land where they could fight eachother every 30 years without the inconvenience of killing all their own peasants...

Although our sole contribution to the greatest basketball league in the world has been the not so great Belgian passport holding DJ Mbenga...Nuff said...we can hold claim to providing the clean sheets and hot water that helped give birth to Tony Parker who was born in my hometown of Bruges...Sadly TP9 represents the frog eating, white flag waving French...bummer!!!
This travesty is second only to your Nation calling our most famous invention...The delicious deep fried slap of potatoe...a "French Fry"

I came across justbball.com while trying to update my rosters on my NBA LIVE 06 game as i play the franchise mode hoping to return the C's to past glories. I including myself as a 7foot .600% shooting guard with lightening speed , Amare-esque power and Jason Kidd-like ball handling skills as a roster including Mark "Rebound Amnesty" Blount,Brian "1million $/ point" Scalabrine and Raef "Knee Brace" LaFrentz needs all the help it can get right???

Anyhoe...just saying a friendly Hello to my fellow Celtics fans...

    Go C's

Where in Belgium are you from? Brugges? I've been on multiple trips to Kortrijk on basketball ambassador programs and have toured most of the major areas. Do you play for a club there?

Actually, we call them freedom fries.

    Welcome.

Just curious...what made you pick the Celtics?

    Also....

Purple Fever is a cold individual.

    That's all.

I now live in Ostend...its about a 20 minute drive to Bruges and about a 30 minute drive to Kortrijk... we got a good basketball team here called BCO

    www.bcoostende.be

    As to why the Celtics...?

Larry was my basketball hero growing up and i love all the history and tradition that only the Celtics bring to the NBA

I know Ostend very well, it's right on the coast correct? I've been there a few times, mainly when it's raining though so I've never been able to enjoy the big beach right on the ocean. The main street there is really nice though.

Good to see another Celtics fan around, and I'm sure Larry Legend has inspired more than just you.

Also: Doesn't or didn't Jason Gardener play for OCB?

Well thankfully global warming is turning our beaches into the mediterranean...
I used to go to the south of france during the summer but now just stick at home with all the sun and go to France in the winter instead on snowboarding trips...

Yes Little Jason Gardner did play a season for us...high energy player who did well for us.I talked with him on a couple of occasions and he was very homesick...told me he would return to the states and give it a go in the summer leagues but not sure what happend to him after that...

Lavor Postell and Brent Wright are the 2 USA players we have right now...Postell played a couple of seasons with the NYK's...
