Bynum is our future. I'm not at all in favor for shipping him in a deal with Artest. Like notMuchgame said, if Artest doesn't defer to Jermaine O'neal, why would he defer to Kobe? Bynum is in line to get the franchise in his hands once Kobe is done if he develops how we plan on it, there is no reason to trade him.

Even think ing about trading Bynum is a bad idea. Bnyum could be a solid role player by 07-08.

Good point. 07-08. By that time lakers could possibly have 1 or 2 rings with artest and odom and kobe. Ok i am exaggerating but. If were gonna get a big name superstar in 07, why not trade bynum for artest?

I don't know if anyone put a post up about this, but Artest was at the Lakers/Cavs game, they said it was because of the Clippers offer, but, hey, you never know!!!

I still hope the Lakers can land Artest, and keep the core players in place. He provides them with another lock down defender and a capable scorer. In the Cleveland game the only player who could get a defensive stop at the end was Kobe.
