<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post"> On the morning of Dec. 30, 1990, during the Orlando Magic?s second season, the local sports section was loaded with trade rumors involving Scott Skiles going to Detroit.

The future Bulls head coach also was fending off former Michigan State teammate Sam Vincent?s challenge to be the Magic?s starting point guard.

That night, a Denver Nuggets squad coached by Paul Westhead limped into Orlando Arena toting a 6-22 record and four starters out with injuries.

The game was a sellout, supposedly because Georgia Tech fans, in town for the Citrus Bowl, came to watch former Yellow Jackets star Dennis Scott play for the Magic.

That was the setting for a remarkable night in NBA history. During a fast-paced 155-116 Orlando victory, Skiles dished out 30 assists ? a record that still stands 15 years later.

?I don?t know how he did that,? Bulls guard Ben Gordon said. ?I would be surprised if anybody comes close to breaking that, because the game is not really like that these days. Guys aren?t going out and scoring 120 points. To even get close to that, I think it would have to be like a quadruple overtime.?

As the 15th anniversary of Skiles? record approaches, here?s a look at some of the compelling stories surrounding that remarkable effort.</div>

Great performence by Skiles, that I think is often overlooked. I also think it is going to be a while if or will break the mark.
