Houston applied what defensive pressure it could muster in the final three minutes of the Jazz's 82-74 victory Wednesday, and while the Jazz didn't crumple under the strain of working the ball across halfcourt, they didn't take advantage of the Rockets' overplaying defense, either.
"I thought we mishandled it a couple of times," Jazz coach Jerry Sloan said. "We got in too big a hurry."
The Jazz had two point guards in the game during the full-court stretch, with Milt Palacio mostly handling the ball and Deron Williams available to help beat the pressure. That combination avoided turning the ball over - actually, it was the not-especially-interested Rockets who kept fumbling the ball away at the end - but never sprung anyone free for layups against the double-team, either. </div>
