I hate that philosophy. If your team can defend, then it can work. If you have our frontline that can't grab a rebound to save it's life, it's terrible. The %'s need to be in your favor and if your going to be inefficient on one end, you have to be efficient on the other.

Anytime you play help defense, you have to pick up the slack of somebody else's assignment. Just imagine how much pain that can cause with our unathletic frontcourt. Also, Jrich and Baron Davis are athletic and strong as hell, but they suffer when guarding lighter weight players that can outquick them. Fortunately Jrich, Baron Davis, and Dunleavy have been working their ass off defending. What's killing it is in the rotations where big men get caught up or people wind up in no man's land between the shooter and the guy close to the basket.
You need to have rebounders inside if you are firing a lot of 3's since a 3 is a lower % shot. Murphy used to have boards as top priority, but now is often the guy shooting the 3,leaving J rich as the guy to pick up the slack. While we are not clogging the paint,we also are getting out manned on the offensive boards. It's hard to see why we are lagging on the defensive boards, aside from perhaps playing small ball a lot....yet that should work okay for us. We do tap rebounds too much instead of just grabbing the ball
