http://www.nba.com/blog/blog11.html Seems like we've been offering a lot of tryouts lately could it be us that has offered him a tryout. Man if we did i would be ecstatic
Well he use to just live by explosiveness looks like he lost a little bit of that and he says he's learned to play smart so i don't see ne sign in signing him and cutting the one who is no use to the team. aka "poor man's juwan howard" josh davis.
Umm. We already had him in for a tryout at the beginning of the year and Luther Head embarrassed him. I don't know how much better he could of become in two months. It seems like we are really stretching. Hopefully we are trying to bring in these new people because CD is getting ready to make major roster moves. Let's hope so.
I think Head is a great player. He could possibly be the next T-Mac. I think Jay Williams could help out at PG from time to time for the Rockets.
we dont' need jay william... i mean we haev rafer now... then after him its luther or moochie then lucas..... moochie has improved alot, and helped us alot... he even said that he would be more serious instead of being funny.... (i heard it from bill) moochie is now a decent pg back-up in any team....
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting SpursFan10:</div><div class="quote_post">I think Head is a great player. He could possibly be the next T-Mac. I think Jay Williams could help out at PG from time to time for the Rockets.</div> Say what?! I think Luther Head is FAR, FAR, FAR, FAR (x10) away from being the next Tracy McGrady. They don't even play the same position. Luther Head, if I am being nice, could be the next Cuttino Mobely for the Rockets -- even a younger Sam I Am. But calling him T-Mac is a stretch.. I liked Jay Williams, but that was when we didn't have a point guard. With Alston back, it seems that JVG now either believes in him, or he was actually injured, or we're screwed injury-wise. I think Alston didn't have enough time to prove himself, and if he was in the dog-house, it's a good thing, because I don't think he realized that Van Gundy would bench him.
Luther Head at most could be another ginobili or another cuttino. Hakim Warrick is on track to be the next Stromile because he lives in Pau Gasol's shadow.
OK i think that if we give Jay WIlliams a tryout it would be good because we get to see where he is. He even stated two month ago he was not able to play above the rim. He said he is starting to get that above the rim ability back. It also seems that the accident has put a hunger in him to play hard with a lot more heart. He worked out with some guy named TIm Grover who supposedly has calimed that Jay Williams jumper from three is very consistent now and can keep knocking down the open jumpers and some with people on him and supposedly hes developed a mid ranged pull up game and instead of dunking when gets to the rim now he has to use floaters and lay ups more now instead of always dunking it. The Jay Williams who was in Chicago was a streaky shooter. It seemed hes developed a much more consistent shot. If this is so that means we could sign him place him at SG move t-mac to sf again leaving t-macs life easier and when t-mac has double team we could let williams shoot. alston could also create open opurtunieis for people so theres a lot more open shots and i wouldn't heart. SIgning him and giving him playing time because as of now we arn't going anywhere with all the injuries so all he can do is help
When Head had his tryout with the Rockets in the offseason, Head BURNED him terribly...it was embarrassing...I seriously doubt Williams has improved significantly since then...
Moochie is still nursing a leg injury. Jay Will maybe a possibility, as of right now still behind SKIP Wesley Head It would be between him and Lucas
Jay Williams couldn't be that bad I mean he was probably bad with all the rust on him and all that but now he continued to workout and gained some of that atheletic ability back so i could really getting him and releasing josh davis. if we get him we could use him at sg and pg but he sounds like he is actually confident he can do a lot more than what he use to do so give him a try and just release josh davis since he ain't doin ne thing up front either

I don't think so.
i no josh davis hasn't played and i don't expect him to i just said we could use that roster spot to get jay williams and if jay williams turns out a steal we nabbed one if he doesn't we can let him sit or go find another guy.

With Alston back, we at least have some stability back with Moochie, Wesley, and Head backing him up. However, at powerforward, after Howard we just have Swift (gets most minutes at center though) and Baxter. I think Davis fills more of a need since he's a shooter, Padgett style and can knock down the open shots everyone else seems to be missing.
All i no is josh davis isn't going to help us either way but he is our insurance policy i understand that but if houston evaluates him and feels he is good enough for us van gundy and dawson would not pass him up they would release someone to get him or trade exp contracts and sign him.
