<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Denver, meanwhile, has led the Artest pursuit from the start and remains equally determined to team the unpredictable defensive ace with Carmelo Anthony. I'm told that Anthony, in addition to urging his Nuggets bosses to make the deal, has also reached out to Artest to let him know how badly he wants the Tru Warier in the Mile High air. Coach George Karl, meanwhile, is said to be as hopeful as 'Melo that a deal materializes.</div>

Wow Artest and Anthony would be a great combo. If Kiki gets it done, the Nuggets would get a HUGE boost.

Wow big move for the Nuggets if they land Artest. Miller, Anthony, Artest, K MArt, Camby! HOLY CRAP that's one nasty lineup. I'd be scared to play those guys thats can be one physical team.

Don't both Artest and Melo play small forward?

I'm not sure if the Nuggets would be as good as you guys say with Artest. Both Carmelo Anthony and Ron Artest play small forward and to play out of position is a hard adjustment to make. Sure, the Nuggets need a shooting guard but I'm not real big on the whole playing out of position thing. Plus, what pieces would the Nuggets have to give to get Artest? If it is something like Earl Watson that isn't a big loss. If it is someone like Andre Miller then it wouldn't be worth it for Denver.

Nuggets would never do that. Denver wants Melo to be their franchise player and they wouldn't trade him for Artest who is a headcase. I think the best player the Pacers will be able to get for Ronny at this point is Wally Szczerbiak. He is a good scorer and would add another 20+ scorer to the Pacers roster.

Is playing SG really that different from SF?

I would think not apart from zone defence.

It would give them a great outside height advantage.

George Karl has made a career out of using your non-traditional starting lineups. He always puts his players in a position to succeed on the court. I just don't think the Nuggets have the pieces the Pacers want. They turned down KMart, and they turned down Nene.

Well not really the same as a Sg. Most Sfs are inside in the paint while when you are a Sg you are running around screens staying at the 3 point mark..
