But the Pistons don't have one scorer in the top 10, and look at their record.
Iverson is absolutely amazing. What he does with a basketball is unbelievable. But he's on the 76ers.
I grew up with Red Holtzman's Knicks. Moving without the ball. Unselfishness. Equal distribution and lots of touches.
I get nauseous when I go to a Sixers game and watch Iverson running the offense. Much of the time, the other four players (and always Kyle Korver) are just standing there. No movement without the ball. No slashing, weaving, cutting, etc.
These guys are pretenders, not contenders.

nice read. that is all. it pretty much sums up all of our problems, which is when AI is on the floor, a lot of guys just stand there and wait for the ball to come to them, when they should be moving and calling for it. face it, no team has gone anywhere with just a one man team, or a two man team (counting webber), so other guys must step up.

I agree with the article to a certain extent. I think we need a solid third option. Dre can be that some nights, but others he is just around making plays on defense and getting buckets on fast breaks, but not much else. Korver is as inconsistent as anyone in the league you never know when he will be on or when he will be off. I don’t know healthy he will be when he returns, but is Green can come back this year I think he can be a offensive spark plug for this team. He had some great offensive out bursts in the past going for 20 on several occasions when given minutes. If you place him in a consistent role there is no reason to think he cannot fill up the stat sheet offensively on a consistent bases.

If we are trying to win now I would like to see us go after Latrell Spreewell. Steven A Smith reported on NBA shoot around a while ago we had contacted Spree, but he did not want to play for the veteran minimum, and the 76ers where reluctant to offer him any more. If the 76ers and Spree can reach an agreement though I think he would immediately boast our chances of not only winning the division but going far in the playoffs. Spree when healthy and happy is still a great scorer, and defender.

I agree as well, AI is responsible for this team but he still needs to work on getting the ball to other players. He needs to realize that the 76ers have other playmakers that need the ball to be effective. I'd like to see the offesne ran threw Chris Webber so more.

Cheeks should have modeled this team after the Kings. I'm speaking of that Kings team that really played together and achieved good results together. Compare the teams that they had with the 76ers team now. Iverson-Bibby: Scorers who can make plays, Kyle Korver-Peja: shooters, Iguodala-Christie: good defenders, and Webber is Webber, there is no real comparison between Dalembert and Vlade though. Sam is a better defender, he needs to stay out of foul trouble.
