So which guts should play and which not?We have a package with big guys:Murphy(my favourite),Diogu(Shorter than DUnleavy, but a big man),Cabarkapa,Foyle,Biedrins(my favourite),Taft.
I think one of them have to go,I think Adonal, because he's not so efficient at his big minutes than the other guys. I Biedrins,Cabarkapa would play minutes like Foyle they would get more rebounds, points etc. And Cabarkapa can really shoot from everywere and Andris Biedrins rebounds the ball often than Foyle(against rockets Biedrins played good for 14minutes)
    Foyle averages:23.3 mins,6.40 rebs(that's centers rebounding???),4,2 points
Biedrins against Rockets(when Diogu played last matches much minutes,he plays wery small time)13.min,6rebs(Foyle has 6rebs in 23.3mins!!!),5points(Foyle has 4,2 per game!!!)
And how you compare Biedrins against Diogu?

Personally, I want to see more of Taft. I think he has the potential to be the biggest hit of Biedrens, Foyle, Zarko, etc. I like Ike though and I think he is a sure thing. I would trade away Murphy and/or Foyle. I also would not mind throwing in Biedrens if it meant getting a good player in return. Biedrens has great hands and that is his best quality IMO. But I dont think he will be much more than a role player in this league. I think he is perfect in the pick and roll and dump it off to him for a dunk. Foyle cant even really do that...

I fall off my bench and start laughing at that part:Foyle cant even really do that.. [IMG] All things can happen remember Biedrins will only this year celebrate his 20 birthday.About that Foyle he was a good defender(all time Warriors block leader),but now he can't even block a shot and his ball throwing is simply ugly!I think:
    C Biedrins(20-25 mins.)
    PF Murphy(30-35 mins.)

    Bench
    Diogu(20-25 mins.)
    Cabarkapa(10-15 mins.)
Taft(-10 mins.)if other guys have got a bad game he can play some 10.mins,but I think he's weaker than other guys
And Foyle....You can't be a NORMAL center if you have such ugly shots, don't no how to pick and roll, play so stinky defence etc.

You guys said it. I think Foyle has even worse hands than Dampier. I think Taft could fill a role like a motivated Dampier and protect the middle withotu playing too out of control. Good blend of strength, athleticism, and has a decent basketball I.Q. He just lacks polish and hustle at times. I think he he'll be great in the open court.

Biedrins could also be great because he is long, athletic, and he's a lock for a double double when he starts. That's only if he stays out of foul trouble. Biedrins needs to bulk up in the worst way, but I think he's going to be the man. He could be like a Marcus Camby or Kenyon Martin type guy at forward/center. More emphasis on rebounding, blocking shots and stealing the ball than any offense.

I think Zarko should get some minutes though. I've always liked Zarko. Lots of things you can do with a guy who is beginning to learn the post game and he's a good passer, shooter, and ballhandler. He's athletic and very tall too.

Biedrens is real quick, real good footwork, but part of that is he's +30 lb lighter than Foyle. If they get him bulked up to 245 or so,as was the case with Murphy,he will tend to lose a step.

Foyle is what he is,and sometimes that works, sometimes it don't. We've seen plenty of games where his D was a decisive factor. Biedrens,Diogu, and Taft will need some time in the league mainly because thr refs are so erratic a player has to learn to read the refs for each game,to know HOW you get to cheat, and conversely how the opponent gets to cheat. The REAL rules are whatever those striped buggers think they are at the moment...a concept young players need to adapt to.
Biedrens tries VERY hard to play good D,but then a shooter jumps into him,and though he played totally legit D,the refs typically whistle him. They seem to whistle Ike at times just for being a rookie. Foyle often gets away with more contact by knowing how the refs think...and equally, just by being a veteran. In his first couple of years,Troy played more aggressive D,and got whistled a lot for borderline fouls, proximity fouls,Just-cause-I-got-this-whistle fouls...and so his D got cautious, soft,so he could just stay in the game. In his limited time,Taft has been pretty clever, gets his body in position but doesn't take chances with reaching. There is no easy answer. Business is good so the NBA is not concerned about refs twisting the rules around.

...as for Zarko,I see kind of a poor man's Novitski. He doesn't quite play as big as he is,but his range, ball handling, are also quite good for 6-11. We have several young guys who CAN be MUCH better in just a couple more years. Be patient, and hope everyone gets enough role to make that progress.
