omg.. if this somehow indirectly turns out to be a cmag for spree thing I'm gonna be super-pissed... Like really really pissed. We're talking about trading a 20/5 guy who's shooting over 45%, is happy in LA and one of our core players that got us to this point, in favor of a disgruntled "I need to feed my family with more than 5 mil/yr contracts" older player? CMag's in his prime right now (he's 26 yrs old right now, plenty of prime years) and Spree's way past his prime already... No way, I will hate the Clippers forever if they do this.
SupraJames, I think your misunderstanding. Latrell is a free agent and if the Maggete for Artest deal were to go down, Spree would be someone they sign to make up for Maggete's scoring.
I thought they were considering signing Spree just because Maggette has missed considerable amounts of games over the past few years.
I see, I suppose I miunderstood this rumor. But even if it turns out to be a CMag for Spree+Artest kinda thing I still wouldn't really like it. It'll be alot better than the original thought that I had (Cmag for Spree) but I'm still not favor in it. I'm not too keen on an unstable, volatile player like Artest. Unless he tones himself down (like how Sheed has been), I don't want him on my squad.
Right now Clipper management doesn't want a Maggette for Artest swap. I think the most they were offering was Wilcox and filler for Artest, but I don't Indiana wants that. They just want to sign Spreewell in a totally separate matter, as an insurance policy for Maggette, because he always seems to miss quite a few games.
No way Spree is going to the Clippers, Spree is getting old and wants a ring. He waiting for a contender to make him and offer.
why do i get the feeling spree doesn't really care about a ring. Rings don't provide for all those mouths he has to feed. Cash does though...and I don't see your cheap a.s.s. owner springing for a has been
