They cannot afford to give up big games to Steve Nash, and Shawn Marion. When those two players click, the Suns often will start clicking as a team.
FastBreak DefenseThe Suns are probably the best running team in basketball. They are led by last seasons MVP Steve Nash. Nash has the ability to set up fastbreaks in the blink of an eye. After the Sixers miss a shot or even make a shot and the Suns rebound, they need to be thinking get back get back! Fastbreak defense will be critical in this game, of you stop the Suns break then it is much easier to stop their offense in general. The bad thing is, the 76ers have just came off a game in Sacramento and they will have to do a lot of running in this game.
Rebound! The 76ers are now 13-0 when the out rebound their opponents. They are playing a guy like Shawn Marion, who on any given night can grab 15+ rebounds. Marion is a top rebounder in this league, and he also has the ability to grab offensive rebounds. Marion is a quick player, but he is often undersized. If I'm the 76ers I'm going inside early and often.
I'm not to sure on this game. The 76ers have just came off a win, after losing their last two. A back to back situation with PHX on the second day is definitely going to be tough on most teams in the league. Tonight, it is all about the role players stepping up, and defense. I don't know though, I also have a gut feeling that the Sixers will play well and steal a win in PHX, a very hard place to play as well. I'm also predictiing a high scoring game betweeen these two. 114-113 Philadelphia.
nice preview. im really excited about this game. after a huge win last night, the sixers will look to add to their winning streak, which is currently 1. lol. anyways, we all agree that the key for the sixers to win is to play tough defense. the suns have one of the best offenses if not the best in the league. at the end of the day, i take the sixers with a score of 112-108. its going to be a dog fight from the beginning to the end, but i have a feeling that the sixers will pull out with a victory.
nice preview.. i think that back to back games are really gonna affect them. i think phoenix will win this one in a close game.
Chris Webber is out with a lower back strain. This definitely hurts the 76ers. Hopefully they can play threw his abesence.
Mark it down people. We finally lose a game when we out rebounded our opponet. I thought this day would never come! Anyways, another lackluster performance from Iverson. I'm not going to blame him because he is human and he will have cold streaks. Hey, it's not very surprising too. After all, he does average his lowest PPG against the Suns(23 PPG) and tonight wasn't any different. We are now back at .500 and next up is Kobe and those Lakers. Hopefully we can leave LA with a .500 record instead of a sub .500 record. The Nets schedule is really hard at all, so they could make up some MAJOR ground. We need to get back on track. Maybe playing at home after being on the road for so long will rejuvenate everybody.
Yeah Iverson has another bad game. Man Sammy's been putting up impressive numbers lately, 14 points, 22 rebounds, 3 blocks. One thing is certain: If this team is to go anywhere, we need a healthy Chris Webber.
We just looked tired out there in the second half, from what I saw. I didn't really watch too much of the game because I'm watching the Rose Bowl. Anyway, I'm not surprised that Webber sat out, I'm thinking it was more of a precaution, and this was a perfect time to rest him. He's going to struggle against a running team like the Suns; he isn't very effective on a back-to-back game, and we have a couple of days off before our next game. Good move, but unfortunately for us we couldn't get the W. I think AI will struggle @ LA too, and then get back on track when we go back home.
The 76ers were in the game in the first half. I guess they couldn't finish the other hlaf though, fatigue must have set in from there on. I know the 3rd quarter killed their chances at winning the game though. I think the Suns scored 35 points in that quarter to the 76ers 19. Keep in mind Philly was actually leading at the half.
