Miles would have been waived regardless of Artest or not. Really, Miles didn't do much in his limited action...

I hope this is a sign of the impending deal. He was just taking away from Montay's PT anyways...

He was one of the best cheerleaders I have ever witnessed. Good bye, Mr. howl from the bench never got to play NCAA assist leader man.

The Pacers also waived Samaki "Hands of Stone" Walker today. Coincidence?

Well, since both teams waived the players, it really doesn't mean much. If one team waived a player, there is a chance of uneven trade, but there is no real reason for both teams to reduce roster spot for the trade...

as messed up as it sounds, he was a damn good cheerleader. although he didn't do much on the court, he always seemed to have a good attitude, and jus seemed like an all around cool guy. sad to see him go, but we have too much good young talent on this team...plus, i'd love to see monta get more minutes. i wish him much luck in his career...

We have only one pure point guard now, unless the idea is to run the ball through Dunleavy once the combo guard brings the ball up. The only problem is the point guard can push it up faster than any other player on the floor so that person needs to be good at running the break. Fisher/Ellis sometimes turn the blinders on. I'd rather have Aaron Miles control the ball during these opportunities.

I hope he finds a good home. I think Miles has potential to be a solid backup in the league for years to come. Once Montay stepped up Miles became expendable because the team could save on him.

Agreed, he wasnt an NCAA all time assist leader for no reason. Hopefully he can go to the Hawks or a team like that who needs cheap servicable backups.

Well, Miles' problem was that he wasn't much of a scorer, and it showed with short stop in here. If he can score adaquately, he may be a decent back up in NBA someday...
