Sorry Knicks fans, but the more I think about NY and its big money market, the more I have to marvel at how deep of a hole the Knicks are in right now. So, here are my reasons for why the Knicks are the worst franchise in the league right now. 1.) Worst record in the league: Okay, second worst, depending on what day of the week you're looking at the standings. But 1 game ahead of the Hawks is pretty darn sorry. 2.) Highest payroll in the league: Adding insult to injury, the knicks can't buy a win. At least the Yankees can buy world series rings with their monsterous payroll. 3.) Unprotected First Round Pick: Rudy Gay? Adam Morrisson? Nope, we're getting nobody, 'cuz our first round pick this year is unprotected. Reboulding through draft? forget about it! Isiah has traded away 3 future firsts and at least 2 future seconds in the next 3 or 4 drafts. 4.) The staff: The Knicks have the highest paid coaching staff along with the second highest paid head coach. All that, and they're surrounded with, arguably, the worst talent 125 million can buy. Kind of closes any chances of "rebuilding." 5.) Trade asset: Yeah, Channing Frye is a stud. Nate Robinson is electric. David Lee is no scrub. So 2005 was a good draft, but these guys are "untoucable!" And nobody wants Marbury--"the best PG in the league"--and his contract. The big men? they've got no value what so ever. The Knicks are just pitiful. I don't see how the Knicks can get out of this hole. We won't be able to sign marquee free agents; barely any draft picks in the next 3-4 years; no trading partners want our bad contracts unless we take on even more bad contracts. Prepare for a long long Playoff drought NYK fans. At least my Warriors can still warm my hearts~ ==Fire Isiah!!==

How long did it take you to think of all that? You must have spent days thinking deep thoughts. Thanks for the info yangyang42. We werent aware of the fact that we have the highest payroll in the league, an expensive coaching staff, that we traded our first round pick, little to no trade assets and one of the worst teams in the NBA. Thank you yangyang42 for the enlightment. I have a question though and since you've been so helpful so far I was hoping you could help me out. Why did you keep saying "we" when you were talking about the Knicks? I see that you back the Warriors, Giants, A's and Kings but nothing about the Knicks. Are you one of those bandwagon Knicks fans? The type that jumps ship the moment the team hits a bad patch and jumps back on when their doing well? I was just wondering. And I have another question that I'd like answered if you dont mind(I mean you've been so informative I'd like to glean more wisdom and knowledge from you). What possessed you to bring up the Warriors in your post when they havent been to the playoffs in nine or ten years? I'll be the first one in the Knicks forum to tell you that the Knicks are in some serious trouble and will be for as long as Isiah Thomas is still around but we will not be out of the playoffs for a decade like your beloved Warriors were I can promise you that. I wish your Warriors good luck in the playoffs(if they make it) and hope they win a game or two before being sent home. Anyway I think Isiah Thomas should be fired.

Larry Brown junt needs to have confidence in the rookies - all three - to play 35 minutes a game. If he does that, theyre a solid ball club. 2.) Highest payroll in the league: Adding insult to injury, the knicks can't buy a win. At least the Yankees can buy world series rings with their monsterous payroll. Isiah is pretty syupid, yes 3.) Eddy Curry is pretty good The Knicks are just pitiful. Not if larry plays the rooks I don't see how the Knicks can get out of this hole. We won't be able to sign marquee free agents; barely any draft picks in the next 3-4 years; no trading partners want our bad contracts unless we take on even more bad contracts. so theyre relying on the rookies, but Larry Brown says Not to... Knicks screwed up big on draftinf 3 good rooks and then signing LB Prepare for a long long Playoff drought NYK fans. Stephon talked things over with LB, and this year theyre building on Defence and Chemstry.. next year expect good D and 3 solid rookies to get eliminated in round 1.. At least my Warriors can still warm my hearts~ If they get Ron Artest ==Fire Isiah!!==</div> Isiah should be fired lol
we do suck but after watching the game against the suns, i think we could get better.......................................................
the knicks dont have the best team in the league, and yes they have traded away some draft picks, but keep in mind, that in a year they will have some money under the cap and a lot of players will want to come and play for them. why? because they are in NYC, and they play in the biggest arena in sports, the madison square garden. i predict that the knicks return to glory is only a couple of years away. (but they wont be able to beat the sixers ;]) oh yeah, fire isiah. lol.
Why should we fire Isaiah, when he got Larry Brown? I agree Isiah has made dumb moves, but getting Larry Brown was a big move. I think Isiah's next smart move should be to move Marubury if he doesn't improve this year.
When was the last time the Warriors made the playoffs? Golden State Warriors = worst franchise in NBA history. End of thread.
