The Suns scored 47 points in the 1st quarter and Nash had 11 assists (setting a franchise record) in one quarter. They are just on fire in this game from the perimeter and have led by 20+ for almost the entire game. Shaq only has 3 points, and hasn't been able to play because he can't keep up with the pace of the Suns.

The Heat are without Wade and JWill, but they are just getting embarrassed tonight. 72-50 at the half.

Yeah, it's just sick. I tuned in very briefly to the spurs/twolves game during the 4th quarter and neither team had as many points as the suns did (even before the end of the 2nd quarter).

    Go Suns!

No Amare or Barbosa, so yeah I could call this game fair. [IMG]

Though I guess we have had more time to adjust to the loss of our superstar and solid young talent.

It's really great though, as a suns fan, to see us breaking out the defense. So many critics hated on the suns, saying they were nothing but another Dallas with no defensive heart and the championship forever just out of reach. D'antoni has done an awesome job of proving that the suns can contend at both ends of the court now. The next few years are gonna be a blast. [IMG]

Steve Nash finished with 19 assists, I think he could have had 30, if the Suns were making some of those wide open looks in the 4th. Seven players scored in double digits and the Suns took both Shaq and Zo completely out of this game.

I don't think Wade or JWill would have made a difference tonight because the Suns were on fire from the tipoff. They shot 72% in the 1st half and 65% from behind the arc in the 1st half. The Miami defense was lost all night and two steps behind. I think Riley got tired of seeing Shaq at just the 3point line before Phoenix already scored on offense.

It's just amazing how well the Suns are playing without Amare and all the new players on this team. The Suns need to catch the Spurs and hope to get homecourt throughout the playoffs. If they can be the #1 seed and Amare is fully recovered I think they have a shot at competing in the Finals. The clinic they put on tonight on both ends of the court was VERY impressive.

Even though I wish for them to lose because I'm a Laker fan, I have to admit the Suns are very entertaining to watch and play the game the right way.

I totally agree, the Suns are very entertaining. I think on their first 25 baskets they had 24 assists, that's just scary.

I saw the last 6 minutes of the first quarter and the rest of the game. It was scary how on fire the Suns were... I really wondered how Riley was going to deal with Miami's guys in the lockerroom.

The Suns really took Shaq out of the game, they had a double team smothering him all the time.
