Yeah he dropped a bombshell after the Hornets loss, and then said it again after last night's loss. I'm not sure if he's hoping to motivate this team and giving them just a one season window to win it all or Riley bit off more than he can chew. He cites he doesn't like the travel of coaching, but taking this job, he knew the demands already so that's a lame excuse by Pat. It's going to be interesting to see how the team responds to this announcement. Do they tune him out because they know he won't be around past this season? Pat Riley also said the expectations to win a title isn't realistic for this team. There is definitely trouble in Miami.
I think the trades he had done really screwed up the team or it just might be the fact Shaq is playing pretty awful. Either way, I don't think they are getting far in the playoffs as of now.
I think its kind of lame, I think if he wins a championship he will come back, but is covering himself if he loses he won't come back to a disgruntled inadequate team. If he cared about the team's future he would hire a coach that is willing to stick with them in the long run and develop chemistry with that coach... Well, I still hope Miami fairs well...
