Doesn't look good right now against the Clippers. We got off to an early lead 29-18 after the 1st quarter. The Clippers went bananas in the 2nd quarter and our offense went into dormant mode. The Clippers outscored us 37 to 21, and Chris Kaman & Chris Wilcox are working us on the inside.

Can Bynum get some minutes here? He played fairly well the last time these teams matched up.

Kobe Bryant is really struggling with his jumper tonight. Lakers need a huge 4th quarter to pull out a victory. Down by 7 with about a minute left in the 3rd.

Bryant 50 points! A lot of shooting but was necessary. Smush with the sealing steal and dunk!

WOW- so Kobe jacked up a lot of shots...oh well- he had 50 pts 8 rebs and led the team with 8 assists....and the Lakers won- critics can't fault this game.

Lakers 2-0 since Kobe came back as he's averaging 49 points per game on 53% shooting.

    MVP? No doubt

You can't compain about this game, no matter how many times he shot. He also had 8 boards and 8 assists.

Cook had a nice game, and Kwame had a silent 10 and 10. Great production all around.

Did Kobe just drop 40 in the second half? From the play-by-play, that's what it looks like.

Naw, I don't think he'd do good in that. He's a streaky 3 point shooter.

Yes sir. 40 in the second half, 10 in the first. I really don't know how people say he's not even close to MJ's level. I'm not trying to start a Kobe - MJ debate here, but please stop hating for once and give the man his respect.

I refuse to believe Kwame is one of your favorite players.

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">"I saw that they kept switching players on me, and I could sense fear in the first player that was guarding me," Bryant said. "Once I started turning it up, they switched and brought another player there, and I wanted to take him to that breaking point, and the next one.

"My thing is, no matter who's guarding me, I believe that you're going to crack before I will. I'm just going to keep on pushing at you until you give in."

The Clippers had won their last three games against the Lakers, who used to dominate them.

"I had a lot of people who are friends of mine calling me, saying, `You guys have to win the game because I'm going to have to hear all this blah, blah, blah,"' Bryant said. "So I'm getting it from all sides. I mean, I can't go to the (coffee shop) without people talking about it. So when that happens, you want to step up and have a good showing." </div>

98 points in the last two games, Kobe just took the team on his back tonight after that mini run in the 3rd quarter. You could just see him imposing his will and he broke the Clippers. Huge win for the Lakers, two in a row, I'd love to see them get 8 more and push the streak to 10.

I didn't hear nothing about this game. Just looked at the box score and was like damn the shots. Not good field goal pct wise but still got the most important thing. The W. And 8 assists. It would seem that all 8 of his passes were assist shooting that much. Ends up having a good overall game and shooting .467 from 3pt land.

Beacuse he doesn't have a killer offensive game? I don't care about that. He is by far our best post defender, I started following the kid when they drafted him in Washington and I've followed him since. Behind Arenas, Kobe, and Chris Paul would be Kwame.

The Clippers didn't seem to know what was going on during their last posession or it was because the Lakers played awesome defense. They were still running around, when they needed a three, while the clock was down to 1 sec. Anyway good win for the Lakers, they need to keep that team in check always this year.

I just realised that Kobe had 45 pts the game before he was suspended...

He's averaging over 47 ppg the last 3 games.... the last time a player did that was in the 80's and it was a guy named Michael...

Kobe got a knack for scoring, no matter how many times he misses he keeps on shooting until it drains. Sometimes, I get kinda crazy when Kobe misses 2,3 shots in a row but, in the end he trying to get his team back in it. Big props Kobe.....
