oh man.... i hate to say it but i knew giving to jose was a bad decision even though he is a decent foul shooter
Wow, Vince strikes in T.O. A buzzer for Vince to end it, its like scripted, perfect ending for vince.
nkwu .... after mo got a tech, vince slapped mo playfully and mo slapped him back and got a tech for it
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting nkwu:</div><div class="quote_post">Wow. Simply. Wow. But What exactly happened to Mo? I wasn't tuning in when he got ejected</div> mo got a tech earlier for arguing a no call...then a few mins later, vince was playing around and gave him a little slap in the face...just as a joke...mo kinda fired his hand back at vince, and jabbie the retard turns around and gives mo his 2nd tech and tosses him. it was such obvious joking around between the two of them, he didnt even give vince a tech...just mo. complete crap
ya know what also is complete crap!? vince fouled jose, and they didnt call it...jose ran, and then they fouled him again. if the refs had just called the first foul, there would have been enough time left on the clock after vince's shot for us to get a decent look refs screw us royally twice in the game
That was a great game. Full of excitement and went right down to the wire. The officials really played Mo' Pete. Were the refs working for the Nets?
Anyone stick around for the last play? I knew the game was done once VC hit the 3 but if ur gonna even attempt somethign at the end wit 0.1s left atleast put urbigs in. What the hell are Calderon Bonner and James gonna do standing on the perimiter? You put in your players with the long arms (CV, Bosh, Woods) and a good passer as the inbounder (Calderon/James?) . That would have been much better than what really happened. But whatever, we wouldn't have won anyways.
why put them to the line when they're only down by two? thats not a good strat. try to force an ugly contested jumper...hope they miss...obviously that didnt work out too well though lol
lol Well if the make the two shots then we still have a chance to win the game with more then .1 seconds on the clock .
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting The_Answer:</div><div class="quote_post">lol Well if the make the two shots then we still have a chance to win the game with more then .1 seconds on the clock .</div> Well, we had a two point lead. The chances were that Carter would not have made that shot . So why give them a clear shot at two points if the chance of them making a shot with the clock winding down was very slim?

What a game, Mike James played great for the Raptors as usual. VC really stepped up for the Nets though.

All I can say about the game is WOW, that was the worst possible way to end the game.... I'm sure having MoPete in the game would've changed the outcome, but on the flip side, Jefferson got injured w/ like 2 minutes into the game so I'd say the ejection just levelled the field..... Tough game to stomach but if you look at it, for 47.9 minutes we were outplaying one of the hottest teams in the league right now..... we didn't get the outcome we wanted but it was a good loss nonetheless.
I knew it was going in. It just had to, it was the perfect ending for Vince. Tough loss, but the Raptors are showing they arn't pushovers and that they can compete with anybody in the league.
why didn't mitchell have jalen take the free throws and didn't the raps have a foul to give? if mo pete wasn't tossed, we'd have a better defender and jose's not really playing well lately, so i don't think it would've came to such a last second decision.

It cost the Nets two seconds off the clock. If the Nets had those two seconds, I'm sure they would've ran it down and you wouldn't have had a time to respond anyway. Vince acted on there being no time left, had Vince had an extra two seconds, the game would've been different. The officiating on both sides were horrible at the end. And for the record, Vince did go up to JAVIE to explain what happened. Javie responded saying that he only can go by what he saw. Rare enough that an opposing player will fight for the other team. What Vince did was stupid, but there will always be bad calls.
What an amazing game! Great Basketball from both the Nets and the Raptors! This is one of the most entertaining Raptor game in a long while. Mike James seems to be adjusting quite well with a new team. This would've been a lot easier game for the nets if Richard Jefferson didn't have to leave with an injury, but Jason Kidd and Vince Carter came through big time for the Nets. This game shows why Jason Kidd and Vince Carter are all-star calibre players, they elevate their game even higher when the situation calls for it. As for the Morris Peterson technical foul, that was just plain wrong, everyone and including Vince Carter and Morris Peterson knew that was just a playful incident - Bad calls by the refs. But it show class when Vince actually went over to the refs and explain what happen but the refs said they will act according to what they saw. But Vince said he's going to pay for the Peterson's fine. Congratulations to the Nets for their 10th straight win, and hope Richard Jefferson will be fine and won't have to miss any game! And for the Raptors, I hope this lost won't carry over to the next game! Good Luck! It seems like the past couple of games that the Raps played against teams with players injured, a coincidence I presume!
