Maybe that's a sign that Denver knows it can't get Artest. But as sour as things have turned for the Bulls, they don't want to move Gordon.</div> <div align="center">Source</div> Keep in mind this is a New York newspaper so don?t read much into it. This was the only part of the article relating to Gordon it was mentioned more as a side note to other options for the Nuggets in case they don?t get Artest.
the thing w/ moving gordon is i dont want to put hinrich back to the SG and without gordon we would probably be tempted to, and all the nuggets big men have been having injury problems. I know you said not to take it to seriously, just tossing out my 2 cents
I actually think Ben Gordon is one of the league's most overrated players. Don't get me wrong, I think he's a good player and I enjoy watching him, but all he is an undersized, one-dimensional scorer. He gives you 14.1 points per game, but his field goal percentage is 39.7% from the field. He shoots three-pointers well; I'll give him credit there, but all in all Gordon is just a scorer. He averages just 2.3 rebounds, 2.7 assists, and 2.23 turnovers per game. His overall efficiency ranking is 9.13. If the Bulls are demanding a lot in return for Gordon, the Nuggets should in no way accept. I'm sure they can find another scorer who gives them more production. As BKS said, there might not be any substance to this rumor, but if it really is a legitimate rumor, I say the Nuggets shouldn't give up too much at all for him.
Being a Bulls fan its hard for me to admit it, but I like to be realistic. I agree totally with MrJ. Gordon can only score, thats it, he's overrated for sure. I don't see us keeping Gordon once his rookie contract goes. I reckon by then he'll think a lot highly of himself than he really is. I dunno, hopefully i'm wrong or he improves other areas of his game.
I wouldn't be to happy if I saw Gordon leave. He has been doing really good the last few games. I think he will eventaully develope into a better defender, ball handler, while he's still on the Bulls.
wrong, ben gordon is definitely not overrated, if skiles give him 20 shot attempts a game he will give you 22 pts a game, he could dish the ball too when he sees anyone open

However, since being placed in a starting role he has shown me a lot of pieces of his game that up to this point have never before been scene. You mention his shooting percentage and his lack of production in the other two categories other than scoring, however, you have to remember Ben Gordon was only averaging about 24 minutes a game, up until this week, and as his minutes have increased these past couple of days so has his overall production. Ben Gordon is still a tad overrated by fans though. Every fan sees a good young talent and tries to build these players up to be more than they really are. Ben Gordon is not a superstar, as of yet, I will be the first to tell you that. His game has many glaring weaknesses, inability to create off the dribble being the most apparent followed by shot selection. However, these are all things that in time he can improve in his work ethic is well documented as being one of the most committed off season work out programs in the league. As long as he stays humble and continues to work he will continue to improve.
