<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Before heading out on a four-game trip, Utah forward Andrei Kirilenko helped get the Jazz to .500. He did not do it single-handedly. It only seemed that way.
Against the Los Angeles Lakers on Tuesday, he had 14 points, nine assists, eight rebounds, seven blocked shots and six steals, a statistical feat known as 5 by 5 ? recording at least five in each category.

Kirilenko, a fifth-year player from Russia, also became only the second NBA player to have at least six or more in each of those categories. Hakeem Olajuwon was the other, in a double-overtime loss to Seattle in 1987.

?The hardest part is the steals,? Kirilenko said last week. ?For the most part, all the stats are lucky. Some games you?re feeling good, you?re everywhere, but you can?t get steals or rebounds.?

Blocked shots come more easily to him ? he averages a league-best 3.18.

?I want to be in this kind of position when I?m in the flow of the game every time,? he said. ?I don?t care about my stats, I just want all the guys around me to feel good.?

The Jazz record was 2-8 without Kirilenko. The team won five in a row after his return before this weekend.

?If we keep working as we?re working right now, we can surprise lots of people,? Kirilenko said. ?We?re very inconsistent. We can beat anyone and lose to anybody ? it just shows we have good potential.?</div>

I really haven't seen enough Jazz games this year. They don't get shown much, however I'd like to see some more of Kirilenko in action.

Who would be top candidates in DPOY other than AK47?
    Camby, Wallace, TD? Anyone else?

if he was playin then ron artest is the DPOY and kirelenko is 2nd

ben wallace is the most overrated dpoyever,he`s won 3 times and artest has been robbed, wallace grabs boards and blocks shots.thats it.....his offense is a joke,he just concentrates on defense

if TD,RA,KG were told to forget about scoring and just concentrate on boards and blocks then wallaces figures would look ordinary, artest puts up 20ish a game,is a league leader in steals and plays the best defense in the league, the comparison between there abilities is not even close

Dude, Kirilenko is his team whole defense! He can shut down people like Carmelo, and other players that like to score by slashing and getting those easy dunks.

^ ya AK-47 is a freak. I absolutely love him. I've never seen a player that can do everything like he can.

My brother and I have had this debate numerous times. He's all about the AK for DPOY. But I'll take Marion... Not the Suns, but Marion.

Of course, I always win this argument.
