NBA front-office sources insist that Celts president Danny Ainge, who certainly has no shortage of young players to dangle as well as a mercurial swingman of his own in Ricky Davis, remains as interested as anyone on the list of leading West suitors: Denver, Minnesota, Golden State and the Los Angeles Lakers. </div>

Is Green being showcased in the D-League because Indiana wants to see him in action?

Surely Boston would need to put Pierce into any deal for Artest.

Couldn't see Indy taking on the contracts of LaFrentz or Blount, so it's either Pierce or Davis.

I could see if Artest came without all the excess baggage, but he's damaged goods, so there's no way Indiana can get a player of Pierce's caliber in return. The biggest rumored deal so far has Indy recieving Troy Murphy and Michael Pietrus, which together don't equal Pierce's value.

Besides, no matter how many rumors we heard about Pierce being shopped this summer, I think we can forget about him being traded anytime soon. The question was whether or not Pierce would still be Pierce when our youth finally developed, and since Paul seems to get better every year, the answer is probably yes.

The package Danny is offereing to Indiana most likely contains Ricky Davis and one or two of our young players.

Hey, if the Pacers got Pierce, it would be equal for both teams, Artest gives his defense and some points, and Pierce gives his shooting ability and points..

All except the fact that Pierce is a model citizen and Artest is a nutcase...

You know Indy wants either Gerald Green, Ricky Davis, or Al Jefferson. Probably Green, I don't think it's worth it for Boston to make the deal.

Dont Pierce and Artest dislike eachother? Last I remember their was some bad blood between the two. I strongly doubt this happening. If it were to happen, team chemistry would be a major factor for the C's. Also, didnt they have a near fight once?

Well i do recall Artest having a fight with a Detroit fan if i'm not mistaken...[IMG]

In short...i for one don't wanna see Artest in green!!! i would much rather see them make a move for somebody like Gerald Wallace who i think could be just as good defensivly as Artest without being a nutcase!!!

Artests talent will always make some fans drool at the possibilities.

HOWEVER, he's a nutcase and mentally unstable, IMO. PP and Artest on the same team will almost certainly never happen as the 2 don't get along. Cite the shorts pulldown, the hard fouls, etc. it doesn't matter.

Trading them for each other would be a nightmare for the Celtics. PP has his faults, but compared to RonRon, he's a model citizen. Artest is likely never going to learn from his mistakes and if he ws going to, you'd think he would have by now.

I want no part of Artest, unless it's for next to nothing, so that we can dump him without much negative effect to the C's.

I'm on the other side. I'm willing to take a risk in order to get a top 15 talent like Artest. We don't have the cap room, nor the trade bait to acquire such a talent any other way.

I do like Artest as a player. Thats it. Other than that, we can do without him. He has been a cancer in every locker room he has been in. Until he gets help (see a shrink) I cant mess with him. Remember people he said that he would be on his best behavior after the brawl then he pulls this stunt. Come on. You never know when he may lose it again and you end up with The Palace Brawl Part 2. Imagine if he goes to the Lakers? Ill pay good money to see him and Kobe go at it. Splendid
