Watching the Sixers as of lately, Do any of you think we could be better off just starting Hunter and just have Dalembert come off the bench for a while?
It's debatable. While Dalembert has been doing his thing as of late, overall I don't really like what he's been doing this season. He is very streaky, horrible defensive awarness. goal tending beast and always gets in foul trouble. Hunter on the other hand has more of a physical precense, he is much more aware of what's going on overall, better scorer, better position and other little things. It's a tough choice but the fact that Dalembert is getting tons of rebounds you can't help but let him start. All I want to see is Hunter be the first big man option off the bench instead of Shav or even Salmons. Yes, Salmons. Mo started him at PF last night, no reason why he wouldn't make him a backup C.
id rather have sammy start and here's why. sammy is a defensive beast and he can get the stops early on for the sixers for them to build a lead. hunter on the other hand, has a good offensive game, so he should come off the bench for us and provide a spark.
If there is any reason to start Hunter, it would be to give Samuel Dalembert a wake up call! He is playing pretty good for the 76ers, but he isn't playing like a center should because he is not fundamentaly sound. I think the kind of performances you see from him now come off his athletic ability. Once he learns to use his head when he plays he'll be a lot better as a basketball player. Hunter isn't the most fundamentaly sound player, but I think he is ahead of Dalembert in terms of that category. He has more of a pressence on defense because he actully rotates and plays help defense. Dalembert on the other hand is the Sixers starting center and he averages 4.4 fouls a game.
The only reason from my perspective to start Hunter would be to maybe keep Dalembert from picking up early fouls. Other than that, I would rather have Sammy start.
Yeah start Hunter, if you want to get outrebounded by 15 boards every night, and get in a hole early. If he could just rebound the ball, this team would be a lot better, and I'd feel more confident in our second unit. What this team needs is a big-man to come in and coach both Hunter and Dalembert.

He was there for a couple of games, but said he doesn't want to be a coach full time. So, he left a couple of weeks ago.

They also said he enjoyed the time he spent with the team earlier in the season a lot. So he decided to return for a second stint. Though he is not a bench coach yet or a full time assistant Moses said he loves coaching and would love to get involved in the NBA as a coach in the future.
Hm... my bad. Last I heard he said he didn't want to be a full-time coach. Glad to see he's back though!
