I'm tired of the everyone showing so much RESPECT for Shaq. He's been gone for almost two years and I think it's about time that we stop showing him RESPECT. WE NEED TO BOOOOOO SHAQ at the Miami Heat game, It made me sick to hear the Miami Heat fans have Shaq's back by chanting KOBE SUCKS, KOBE SUCKS! [IMG] We need to have KOBE'S back and chant SHAQ SUCKS, SHAQ SUCKS AND BOOO HIM. So if your going to the game let everyone know to BOOOO SHAQ. A group of my friends and myself will be at the game on Jan 16 and we will BOOO SHAQ and will have signs before the game at the entrance where the players and the busses pull into Staples. SPREAD THE WORD!!!! BOOOOOOO SHAQ!!! SHAQ SUCKS!!!!!!
WE OWE IT TO KOBE!!!! LOOK AT HOW HARD HE"S PLAYING FOR US!!!!

There in lies the problem, the majority of the people at Staples center these days are not "true" Laker fans. I've been a season ticket holder for the last 5 seasons, and I have attended only 3 games this year because I hate the majority of the fans who show up. The crowd is very boring and are not into the games.

Trying to keep the crowd going and chanting is like pulling teeth at the Staples center.

I love the passion and message you want to send though. You might want to add the word "suck" after you get on the inside though. Most of the time security checks the words used on the signs and confiscate ones they deem offensive.

    Hmmm... some ideas for signs:

    1. Shaq Fattack!

    2. Shaq is His-Toe-Ry

I find it funny that certain Laker fans want to boo Shaq and completely ignore what he did for the franchise. I understand you want to support Kobe, but booing Shaq is not the answer, in my opinion.

I disagree the reason heat fans boo Kobe Bryant is because Kobe was never a Miami Heat, and did not lead that franchise to three championships like Shaquille did for Los Angeles. Though it is true when he left Los Angeles he burned the bridges with the organization and Kobe Bryant, he did remain conscious of his fans and bought out a whole page in the Los Angeles times to thank you guys. I don’t know if you should cheer him, but you should definitely not boo him after all he did for this organization.

Well we never said it was the answer... but guess what? Do Philly fans refrain from booing Kobe when he comes to play? Remember the all-star game in Philadelphia? What about Miami fans? Most players have had to deal with that at some point or another... I doubt that it will affect Shaq at all... its more a show of support from a player who did as much for the franchise as Shaq did yet has suffered harshly at the hands of his many detractors... and he is still playing his heart out for LA.

Again... noone would downplay what Shaq did for LA... but what he does to our franchise player does hurt the team. So I say if supporting Kobe means booing Shaq... so be it.

Other ideas for Signs: SHAQ the BIG TWINKIE, SHAQ WHO! Yeah I'm actually going to the game and pass out flyers to boo Shaq. Oh and there is going to be an ANTI SHAQ rally.

I don't get it... every other player that leaves a team they were a big part of by their own design gets booed when they return to play there... why is Shaq different?

Of all fans, Philly fans should understand the obligation to boo traitors to the organization. Shaq is the Lakers version of Terrell Owens. Both wanted more money and when the ownership said no they whined, felt disrespected, bad mouthed teammates, bad mouthed the organization, and then took their sweet time with minor injuries.

    His-Toe-Ry that's great! [IMG]

I think people would rather just side against Laker fans just because... I am still shaking my head at a Philly fan being against booing another player [IMG]

Well it's a totally different situation. Most players booed by their former cities are incited by what they didn't do to help the team such as signing back with them...or like the VC situation. In this case Shaq has been the posterboy of LA and everyone loved him, he only brought entertainment and champions to our city.

The hypocrisy continues... so who was it that waited until the last minute of the off season to get toe surgery and then declared that if he was having surgery it would be on the team's time and not his? Who was it that publicly demanded more money during pre-season games? Who was it that insisted on being traded because his financial demands were not being met? Who was it that publicly criticised teammates (namely Kobe)?

All Malone ever did was bring the Jazz success and he was booed when he first returned there. Payton? Booed.

the best chant that I want to hear with Shaq in there....if people chanting:

    KOBE KOBE! MVP MVP!

That's all I want to hear....if you really want to bother Shaq..booing him and saying he sucks won't work...but cheering on the guy he likes to dog and thinks he is better than....thats the way to go....so chant FOR Kobe...not against a particular person....

this is my preference for a chant
