<div class="quote_poster">Quoting YourNewChef:</div><div class="quote_post">Ejecting Brian Cook was such a horsesh!t call. If they threw him out for that, then O'neil should of been gone for the elbow he threw at Bynum.</div>

It was an awful call and it was a turning point in the game, giving Miami some much needed momentum. But the Lakers stuck through the calls. Especially Lamar who I thought was going to fold.

GO BYNUM!!! props for that comeback. I dont like the fact that Phil Jackson dont play Bynum more, hes shown that he can come in and provide energy for the laker team. I rather see bynum taking shots than kwame and milm. The future looks bright for Bynum. Hopefully he can replace milm next year in the starting lineup.

    Kobe is....unbeleivable.

I've been Kobe's biggest fan (haven't we all) for like 5 years....and I always raved how clutch he was, how good he is....but he's unbeleivable. The offense sometimes flows better when he's out, but if any real defense is applied- the Lakers choke.

The second he came back in the game in the 4th qtr the 4 pt lead went back to eight. He only forced one shot tonight and that was his first. He should get considerable MVP contention this year, I know- Steve Nash and Chauncy Billups are your obvious candidates, as well as Tim Duncan but look who those guys have...

Billups can't be MVP because look, as he's said himself- the entire starting 5 are all stars. They wouldn't be that bad without him.

Suns- You have to give Nash for adjusting without Amare, but he's still got a pretty offensively explosive lineup that would still be fighting for a playoff spot without him.

The Lakers however, would be a gauranteed lock for one of the top 3 lotto picks if they didn't have Kobe...

As long as the Lakers make it to the playoffs, and possibly win a series, Kobe will get MVP. I think Kobe will be guaranteed MVP if the Lakers get to the playoffs. They have to remember, Kobe is leading a team who stunk last year, now they are 2 games behind the Heat's record.

What a game from Lamar. And Bynum? After getting posterized by Shaq, he went straight at him and made him look stupid with the turn and dunk. I went CRAZY when Bynum put it to Shaq. Great game all around from the Lakers.

Doug Collins gave an indication of what Bryant needs to do to get into serious MVP talks. He needs to lead the Lakers to at least 10 games over .500 and back into the playoffs.

I've always felt the top scorer in the league should be considered a top 3 finisher despite record in the MVP chase. Right now I have Kobe at #3, but if Iverson takes over the scoring lead, I'd put Kobe at #6 or #7 at this point.

Also keep in mind who decides the MVP winner, it's the media. The same media who's been villianizing Kobe the last two years. I don't think they are ready to do an 180 and allow Kobe to be the MVP, no matter how deserving he is.
