Mobley now plays in Los Angeles after signing a five-year, $42 million contract with the Clippers in the offseason. The Magic were 18-14 with Mobley, who averaged 16 points in an Orlando uniform. After the trade, the Magic were just 18-32 and Christie played just 21 games before leaving the team with an ankle injury. The Magic waived Christie in the offseason, but he remains on the books for $8.2 million this season.</div>

Funny that you would post this, I was thinking about it earlier today. This has got to be one of the worst trades of all time. You trade away Tmac for Francis and Mobley, and then trade Mobley for an ancient guy like Christie? Not only did that upset Francis, but Hill got injured again so you had virtually no chance of making the playoffs this year.

They don't have a superstar, and Francis in the east doesn't even make the allstar team anymore. Insane.

Are you considering Mobley a superstar? The trade wasn't that bad, it is helping speed up Dwight's development. It was horrible in personnel, but it got Johnny Davis fired and Dwight more touches and allowed Jameer to get valuable minutes.

We had to trade Tmac. We couldn't wait until midseason because we wouldn't have been able to get Francis, IMO, because teams knew that we were desperate to get rid of him, so they wouldn't have given as much. We didn't want to see another Shaq situation.

Of couse not, but Francis and Mobley together probably brought about the same value to a team as Tmac did. I'm just saying the once you traded Mobley, it was basically like you traded Tmac for Francis straight up. Not only that, but it made Francis angry.

I don't really have a problem with the Tmac trade, but when you combine it with the Mobley trade it was dumb.
