I didn't see the game, and I know Bennett fumbled more than once, but he was averaging 12 yards per carry! If we are going to bench a player for turnovers then why is Culpepper still on the field?

Can someone who saw the game explain this to me?

One more game like this and I'm going to start the petition for Tice's head on a platter along with Loney.

So is that like 8 pick in 2 games? My gosh, somethin's gotta be wrong or maybe it really is because of you know who.

What, Linehan leaving? Yes...that is definitely what I think it is.

A tough season could be a blessing for the vikings...because Tice is definitely not the coach who is going to get you over the top..I would pray the team goes a different direction if this continues...I've just never been a big fan of Tice.

I know...in the Cin Vs Min, i thought Tice would have the brains to take Culpepper out and stick Johnson in...Johnson is a super bowl QB and he knows more about the game than Culpepper does. Culpepper just needs time...

The only reason Culpepper should have been benched is because he put the game out of reach. Keeping him in the game kept him in danger of getting injured.

Like I said last year he shouldn't be the coach for this team!! It's about time you came around. If we go into the bye week 0-4, which could happen because the next 2 teams are Saints & Falcons, than Tice will get fired. Personally I think that he should be fired right now!!

they took bennet out because he fumbled, and then the very first play that tice put him back in he fumbled again to answer your question, but if tice is gonna take bennet out for turning the ball over twice culpepper shouldve been benched in week 1. I dont know much about the vikings but i think that this year will show culpeppers true qb skill, which is very abysmal. if you look at past viking qbs theyve all had success. ie randall cunningham, jeff george, and then daunte culpepper. I watched the whole game, and at least twice last game culpepper was standing in the pocket with all the time in the world and ended up taking a sack, when he had two guys wide open. I credit this to of two things. One is that his team was down, and he was looking for the big play down field to spark his team. Or, hes not used to looking at more than one guy(Randy Moss). A lot of the throws he made randy probably couldve caught. and if u watch past highlights a lot of culpeppers touchdowns to randy were badly placed balls.

    Hoodie,

I will say this...when Culpepper is bad, he is really bad. But to say he is a bad QB when the man threw for 39 TD's and consistently spreads the ball around, not to mention has a career QB rating near 100 and a completion % just below 70% gives a lot of credit to Moss. You also have to remember that Culpepper kept up those stats when Moss was injured last year and during the preseason this year.

The biggest fault Culpepper has is that he tries to do to much sometimes. And when that happens he makes horrible mistakes, as he has in the past two games....hopefully he will settle down and play within the game from here on out.

You know why not get the ball to Mewlede Moore. He is a great receiver and runner. Why not use him more. Tice is trying to rotate the backfied to much. Moore should get his chance especially since Bennet is struggling.

all im gonna say is that culpepper is not the game breaker that everyone makes him out to be, he cant make plays on his own he needs to get the ball to his recievers and let them do things instead of trying to do stuff himself

Well, you are entitled to your opinion about Culpepper. I don't think anyone puts up the numbers he put up last year without being extremely talented. I will re-iterate, though, that Culpepper can play like the worst QB in the league when he tries too hard.

Regarding Moore, I don't think its time to give him the ball yet. It is rare that Bennett fumbles, and he was averaging 12 yards per carry before he got pulled. 12 yards! If he hadn't fumbled the ball the game would have been much different.

I think he needs one more game to show his stuff before we give the ball to a guy who is still unproved (Moore only played a few games...)

It's week 2 and everyone is riding Culpepper off. No wonder why he's struggling. News flash Randy Moss is 0-2 as well. Say what you want about the talent. zero wins is zero wins. Now I love Moss and I think he's the most talented and gifted WR ever to play the game but he's not the main reason why Minnesota is at 0-2. That would be the lost of the offensive coordinator. I was watching the Bucs game and it seemed as if the running game was thrown out of the playbook after the first quarter. Whether Tice improves or not will remain to be seen. I look at what Culpepper did without Moss last season. Over 4000 of those passing yards he had went to other WR's than Randy Moss. Now granted Moss is a distraction everytime he steps on the field but he missed I think 4 or 5 games. Culpepper played just fine in those contests. What about Nate Burleson. Who??? He's been lacking production so far and maybe he isn't the #1 guy after all. Wheres Matt Birk. Marcus Johnson got ate up at guard against the Bucs. Finally coaching wise I think the Vikings have the worse staff in the game right now. Especially with the lost of Steve Linham. So this is not entirly Daunte Culpepper's fault. This is serious of mistakes and problems piled on each other.

Moe Williams should be the every down back and they should use trickery with Bennett... Line him up at Tight End and Receiver and send him in the flat on two back sets.

I think the Vikings need to get back to straight ahead power running and not use a Barry Sanders type "shifty" back.
