"That's not what basketball is about," Jackson said. "Basketball is about playing as a team and finding a functioning level." </div>

The title of the article and the quote this writer used was completely misleading. It's so pathetic I cannot help, but laugh. I think the Lakers need to start stripping some these writers of their press passes and media credentials. There's a group of writers here in LA who need to follow Shaq to Miami because they are doing nothing, but writing tabloid stories on the Lakers.

If these writers don't like Kobe go cover another team. Right now Kobe is the face of this Lakers franchise and is having a career season. They should be embracing his efforts on the court. The team is winning, the team is the playoff race, and yet this group of writers continues to nitpick him, fabricate stories, and then mislead readers with quotes taken out of context and catchy titles for their stories.

Here's the rest of what PJax said, which was conveniently omitted by this writer.

"Kobe's accomplishment is impressive. It's a process to winning, and that's the one thing you have to remember. It's not about the points. It's about the process that goes into what it takes to win the ballgame. And those things are the end result."

Well said, shape. It's so sad, and we can't do a thing about it.

THanks for clearing it up for us.
