Devin Harris should start over Nelson. Not being a homer just that Devin has been great this season.

I think David Lee deserves to play, but they probably want more diversity on the team. I wonder what Nate's going to do now that he's allowed to showboat.

Devin has had a great season, I'm not gonna take that away from him, but I will say Nelson is having an even better season. Okay, he and Dwight Howard are young players with potentrial on a team that is too old, sometimes too selfish, and doesn't treasure the ball enough. As I write this i just notice Jameer scored 32 points and still contributed 8 assists, and had more steals than turnovers. Has Devin ever done that?

    My lineup:

Paul (they should promote the All-Star weekend behind his charismatic mug)
    Stoudamire (the Atlanta version)
Bogut (it's what the League wants)
    Villanueva (for northeastern viewers)
    Frye (for the NYC market)

Bench: D. Williams, Ike, Shav. Randolph (just to continue to legend of improbability), Diop and Head

    Sophs:

    D. Harris (watch a Mavs game and you'll agree)
    Deng (I'm buying right now)
    Okafor(if he can play)
    D. Howard, of course
Steve Logan (the best college shooter I have ever seen and I have
seen Redick more than I want) Ok so maybe he's a junior, but do you think
Stern will notice after a few highballs.
If Logan can't play, put in Nelson.

Bench: Marquis Daniels should qualify for medical reasons, but scratch if he don't sniff; Delonte West, Kirk Snyder, Kris Humphries and T.J. Ford. Alternate: Telfair (for Daniels who didn't play last year, but actually entered in '03)

    It's all good.

    Peace to my internet friends.

Bogut should start over Diogu, easy! And Harris over Nelson. I'm starting to lose faith in Villanueva.

Only 9 players for each squad are invited and compete.

Jameer has better numbers than Devin Harris all the way around except FG %(only .004% difference) and blocks(but Jameer is like 5-11, you should be embarrassed if he blocks you)

I'm a total homer and I agree. Diogu has been nice but I think Bogut and Frye deserve the starting spots based off of performance. However, theres no way in hell he shouldnt make the team as a bench player; hes got one of the highest FG% in the league, he starts at C in the west, and hes probably only played half of the games other rookies have because of injury.

I just noticed that you put Diop on your list and he is not a rookie, I think he has been in the league for 4 years.

Twin Towers: You are right. I now realize he was the great defender several college coaches, including my team Wake Forest, was talking to at Oak Hill Academy (just a few miles from Wake) but he went pro and went off of my radar; when Dallas signed him I thought he was another foreign center from the Euro Leagues. I knew my picks had holes, but I did not mean to insult the readers. Thanks for catching it.
