<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">TORONTO, Ont. - The Charlotte Bobcats won half a game Wednesday, which makes sense since they're down to half a team. By halftime, they were short three starters: Emeka Okafor and Kareem Rush back in Charlotte, and Brevin Knight surrendering to back spasms. Point guard Knight's absence was the tipping point, because they let a 12-point halftime lead erode into a 95-86 loss to the Toronto Raptors. Toronto's Chris Bosh had 20 of his 29 points after halftime, but Bobcats forward Gerald Wallace (15 points and seven rebounds) said this was more about what the Bobcats failed to do than what the Raptors did. "They didn't do anything. We played out of character and it showed," Wallace said. "They made a run, and we expected that because they were at home. But we just didn't play the game the way we did in the first half." Wallace was quick to add that Knight's absence -- he left the game for good in the second quarter -- played a big role in that reversal. "It shows," Wallace said. "In the second half, our offense stalled. He gets everybody moving with an opportunity to score." Knight tried to play through the spasms in Tuesday's victory against the Houston Rockets. He finally pulled himself in the second overtime, but promised to play last night. Once he came out of Wednesday's game and cooled down, he couldn't get his back loose again in the second half. "Bernie (coach Bickerstaff) said it looked like I couldn't even walk right, so we decided not to make it any worse," Knight said. "We've got another set of back-to-backs. So we'll get (the injury) to calm, so I can get back in there."</div> Source
These injuries are definately tough on our team. They need to just let it heal slowly, and not try to come back too soon.
Let's them them heal, the Bobcats are a young team and shouldn't risk long term injury by trying to rush back into the lineup. Emeka's been out awhile, I hope he can come back soon because we need his presence in the paint. I'm impressed with the way Wallace has been playing lately, he's really picked it up these past couple weeks for his team. How many games did the 'Cats win last year? What are we at now?
i think the injury problem is a good way for the bobcats to test out how good felton is and give him more experience by giving him more playing time afterall, brevin knight is on trade rumours (i love him and want him to stay in charlotte though) charlotte is two years away from contending for playoffs considering they do what they are doing...drafting smart, and sign inexpensive players and get very impressive returns...not to mention they are going to have lots of money this coming offseason
Sean May is what scaring me right now. He's been having a lot of trouble with that knee, and if he has to keep going under the knife then you gotta wonder how durable he's going to be.
he's Pillsbury Doughboy #2 (randolph is #1)...he's fragile dough and needs to be baked and taken care of carefully before he can go out there and play before then..he's just as strong as a dough waiting for magic powder
