``What his team requires him to do is different from what my team requires me to do,'' Bryant told L.A. media members. ``We're completely different players in that sense. But I think it's fun for fans watching the game; it's entertaining.''

``I said it so many times, I think that Kobe is the best player in the league because of everything he can do,'' James said. ``I've always said I look up to him because he and Kevin Garnett were two of the guys that made it possible for people like me to come to the NBA right from high school.''

Now I feel bad for shouting Queen James last night.......nevermind, no I don't. Naw, LeBron is cool, I respect what he can do, of course no where near Kobe's level, but he is definitely one of the best in the league.

    Something I said?

Listen, LeBron is a great player, especially considering how young he is, and coming out of High School.

He is definitely Top 10 in the league.

His speed at his height is amazing, his range from the perimiter gets better every season.

However, a player like Kobe Bryant is the COMPLETE package. If there is one word that distinguishes Kobe and LeBron, it is COMPLETE.

Ask Shape for that comparison of Kobe on the offensive and defensive side on Kobe completely shut down his opponents on the defensive side while scoring 45+.

Until LeBron improves his defense, until he improves his horrible free throw shooting, I'll have even more respect for him.

I thought it was funny how putting a guard (Kobe) on a small forward (LeBron) Any other situation you would say "Oh that's gonna be a mismatch" No sir, not when #8 is in the picture.

Only 1 of LeBron's shots came off Kobe, the rest were off screens and/or fast break. One-on-One, I do not see LeBron "handling" Kobe AT ALL, however, vice versa, Um, I think the last 3 shots of the game just says it all.

Not to mention Kobe sprained his wrist during the game and got x-rays at halftime, a injury like that will never stop a man like Kobe, as they say because of his "killer-instinct" something LeBron lacks, and Kobe and Jordan have. ANd thats a fact, came from James' mouth himself. And you know Kobe always downplays his injuries, and doesn't use it as b!tch move to get out the game.

Didn't even mean to turn this thread into a debate, but a reply with "Oh, brother" just tickles me the wrong way.

Anyone who watches the NBA daily and knows how to play the game would probably agree that Kobe is the better player (even fellow NBA players). Not to take anything away from LeBron hes 21 years old and is a top 10 talent, but people get too carried away saying stupid things like hes already the Best...I did notice in the last game the only way I saw LeBron score when Kobe was gaurding him, was his teamates set tons of screens on kobe.
In the other hand Kobe took his defender to school. I respect LeBrons game and I think he will get alot better throughout his career, but right now its not fair for him or for Kobe to put him in the same skill level.

I'm glad people are starting to realize who's better.

for a while everyone was doubting Kobe as the best, but this season, especially the last 10 games or so have been incredible, he's hit the go ahead bucket in three straight games. Yeah- his team needs to improve lol, but that says one thing: CLUTCH!

Kobe is proving a lot of critics wrong this season, and if they make the playoffs then your gonna see a new trophy added to his collection.

That is true, Lebron was feeding off screens by big Z. I think the things Lebron lacks that Kobe has is obviously killer instincts, more athleticism, better defender, and one of the best at making his defenders look bad.

Lebron is still more athletic than Kobe.

naw, I doubt it was me, I shouted BRING KOBE BACK IN, a couple times in the 4th, but I don't remember "you can do it KOBE"

Staples Center is so dead man, it's so sad. I can shout whatever I want and everyone can hear cuz it's so quiet there.

I swear the BOO's got to LeBron on the last free throw, 4/9 is SAD, I know being on the road with the whole crowd against you really affects the player.

It would have been awesome to get another MVP Chant going on in the end when he made the three shots, but it was so loud there, it would be hard to get anything going, and besides my voice was gone at that point.

All in all a great game, hope the fans make us proud on the Miami game.

Granted, some people tend to be annoying by never shutting up or just being obnoxious, but then again it's people like you that bring no excitement to the game, and just sit there, eating your hot dog and peanuts.

I buy a ticket to get involved and stir up some crowd involvement, if I wanted to just sit there and bring nothing to the game, I would just watch it from home.

I think its cool when fans are loud and trying to pump other people up. If the Staples Center was hella loud and the fans were crazy it would make it that much harder for teams to go in there and win.

bron is the better than Kobe yet, Bron lacks playoff experience. KObe can take over a game like that and is a better defender.

Don't be an instigator, I made a stupid post and I corrected it. I thought he was trying to get at me, that's all. It was my bad.
