<div align="center"></div> Where will Steve Francis end up assuming he gets traded before the deadline? Several possiblities are the Minnesota Timberwolves, the Los Angeles Lakers, the Denver Nuggets, and the Indiana Pacers. All of these teams have been searching around and looking to make a trade. Who do you think Steve Francis will be traded to and for what players?
They also just mentioned something about Boston too. Some interesting scenarios.... Wally and Trenton Hassell for Francis Francis and Cato/Battie for Pierce and an expensive filler Francis for Andre Miller + Filler. I don't see the Lakers making a move though.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting GatorsowntheSEC:</div><div class="quote_post"> Francis and Cato/Battie for Pierce and an expensive filler</div> Well, Boston certainly have plenty of those. <div class="quote_poster">Quoting GatorsowntheSEC:</div><div class="quote_post"> Francis for Andre Miller + Filler. </div> What's the point of that deal for Denver? Dre Miller is playing wonderful ball and they need big men/big two guards, rather than another 1.

Not likely to happen, but who knows. It would allow them to dish out some filler with a long contract to us.
The Trenton Hassell/Wally Szczerbiak idea really is something I like... I guess it was only a matter of time before Francis got himself into this. I am truthfully surprised it took this long.
even though im not the biggest pierce fan, he is an all-star and ive always liked his heart and love for the game... getting him would be a great addition...nelson,pierce,and howard is a great triple threat
Orlando should not trade Francis this year I think the team is finally coming together and if they trade him right now they would never get fair value for him
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting TheHighness:</div><div class="quote_post">Orlando should not trade Francis this year I think the team is finally coming together and if they trade him right now they would never get fair value for him</div> Yeah this entire situation has basically worked itself out and I don't think Francis will be traded anytime soon. Unless this is all just a way to increase Stevey's value, he should be in a Magic forum for the rest of the season. The Magic apparently got at least six calls from teams interested in Francis so if they were going to trade him I'm sure he would have been shipped out by now.
Just get rid of the guy. Hell I'd even take Ron Artest. I was at a Magic game last week with about 9,000 other Magic fans. Talk about pathetic. The McGrady/Francis trade proved to be one of the worst trades done for Orlando. (Houston is doing bad now, but thats obviously bc McGrady is hurt and Yao is out) I've heard talks of NY's Stephon, but why would either team want to exchange struggling guards?

Again, I keep saying this, WE HAD TO DEAL TMAC. HE WOULDA WALKED FOR FREE and that was our best offer. We have done way worse trades than the Tmac trades. He's one of my favorite players, but I still would prefer to get rid of him. Start Jameer, try to get a young SG for Francis and build for the future.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting GatorsowntheSEC:</div><div class="quote_post"> Again, I keep saying this, WE HAD TO DEAL TMAC. IMO, Mobley should still be in a Magic uni - because we got nothing in return for that either. It was just an unfortunate situation just like everything else the Magic deal with. (Ex: Grant Hill always being injured) And it seems like the franchise really doesn't care about trying to improve. Changes need to be made and nothing is getting done. Fans no longer care and Orlando's attendance is 3rd worst behind ATL and Portland.
Umm how bout sending Franchise back to houston for stromile swift and david wesley and moochie for cap space and you guyz can sign more guyz in off season and you guyz could play dwight at center and stromile and power forward. because lets face it ur not going to win the championship now so u might as well trade him for cap space and maybe young prospects to a team that can win so i mean all u really want now is cap relief so you can sign guyz for the future.
Well we are something close to 20 million over the limit(last time I checked we were like 18-20 range I believe). So while that would be a good thought to get expiring deals, it wouldn't really help us out too much, because we would be right at the cap. ALTHOUGH, Battie and Cato both come off of the books, so maybe we will have a little room to sign someone(still more than likely below the max).
I honestly think if he ends up getting traded it will be to Minnesota. It seems like the only realistic destination for him. If I was Orlando I'd do Wally and hassell for francis in a heartbeat. I doubt you can get a better deal. Francis is not a guy you want on your franchise. He is a cancer IMO. Just like Marbury.
Francis is a way better pleyer than starbury (team player) Is is playing way better now than he did before his supension. The Mobley trade hurt us bad. The Wally trade wouldn't be half bad but I would still rather keep Francis. The Houston trade would be horrible (Swift hasn't lived up to expectations and we already have expiring contracts)

Successful Scenario Due to Orlando being over the cap, the 25% trade rule is invoked. Orlando had to be no more than 125% plus $100,000 of the salary given out for the trade to be accepted, which did happen here. This trade satisfies the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.</div> With the talk about the Hornets thinking about trading Smith I made this idea, what do you guys think?
Why would they do it? They already have Chris Paul at PG and Francis isn't capable at playing the 2 IMO.

It seems to me like he is more determined to boost his own stats rather then trying to carry a team into the postseason. This is one of the main reasons that Marbury has never "led" a team deep into the playoffs. Either he is jinxed and just can't win or there is an aspect of his game that makes him lose regardless of the team he is on and the players surrounding him. Along with his cocky attitude (saying he is "the best point guard") and his clutch play (or lack of) when the game is on the line this makes Marbury someone I'm not interested in having on the Magic. Sure Francis isn't a great distributing point guard either but at least he can rebound efficiently, perform when the game is on the line, and most of all, be unselfish and try to win instead of increase his numbers. As far as the Hornet's trade goes, I don't think I would want the the Magic to do that. Steve Francis is worth more then all three of those players and Deshawn Stevenson has played some excellent basketball for the Magic this year. He has contributed on both sides of the court and is already better then JR Smith. David West is a good player but just like Dwight, is a young power forward. I don't think he would fit into our lineup since neither him nor Dwight are ready to switch to the center position. Oh and on top of everything else, PJ Brown is old. Other then those things, it looks like a great trade!
