vs Toronto Raptors (12-24) vs New York Knicks(13-21) TV: Toronto (TSN), New York (MSG) Venue: Air Canada Centre Date: Sunday, Jan 15th, 2006 TipOff time: 1:10 PM Eastern
[DIV=50%] Projected Starters
Jose Calderon-Morris Peterson-Joey Graham-Chris Bosh-Rafael Araujo Key Reserves Charlie Villanueva-Matt Bonner-Jalen Rose Coach Sam Mitchell
Key Injuries None. The Raps big cannot afford to be lethargic or be rusty after a 3-day lay off. Must come out agressive and fight for every chance against a much improved Knicks team. Interior Offence - With James out, Bosh and Villanueva will be a monumental part of the of the offence. Against a very physical Knicks interior defence, both Chris and Charlie must be agressive down low and not second guess their offensive abilities. Also, must work on the offensive glass for the easy buckets. Great Start - A game against a rival, at home, with the two teams pretty much looking at each other in the standings, the Raps must come out firing and ready to go to war. They can't afford to come out sluggish or this Knicks team under the moderation of Larry Brown will put this game away early. <font size=""3"">Game Matchup
vs Charlie Villanueva vs Channing Frye
This matchup is the biggest subplot of this game. Picked 7th and 8th respectively, both Charlie and Channing proved that they're top-3 rookies this season witht heir surprising contributions and the variety of skills they've shown. However, Villanueva has not played well at all the last two games and should look to come up big today, specially with Mike James being sidelined. On offence, Charlie must work off the offensive board and attack the basket on cosistent basis. With his versatility and offensive talent, he can cause mismatches to New York's fron court. Defensively, he must keep Frye infront of him, however, DO NOT give this kid the open mid range jumper or he'll burry it. Keep a hand up and try to contest every shot. This is a very interesting matchup and hopefully it'll live up to the hype. The winner of this matchup will determine the winner of the game. Prediction Man oh man, with James out and the Knicks cooking on a 6-game winning streak, this game looks pretty tough on paper, and in reality. However, considering that we're playing the Knicks, I shall not dare to predict a loss. Raps win a tight one, 104-99.

Charlie's been inconstent lately, I hope he has a good game today. There must be some correlation between Charlie's play and our wins.
Well, i didnt expect this to happen. Jalen went crazy today with 31pts in 23mins, and Mo Pete is becoming mr.consistency for the raptors.
This preview > the one in the knicks forum just because of Jessica Alba. My Oh My. and I was very surprised at the Knicks effort, good game by the Raptors.
we killed it tonight but i dont know why--i keep getting the feeling that rose just played good to impress the knicks--because it was larry brown who said he did not want rose--iunno though if rose can play like taht every night the reach to the playoffs wont be far

We definately didn't take them lightly, that was as much of a blowout as you can have. Rose went crazy in this game, what was that, like 1.3 points per minute or something. Anyways, great stuff, Calderon also played well, it's definately nice to end someones else's streak.

^hell no to q rich for jalen!!!.... the point of a jalen trade would be for cap space so a trade for qrich would be the exact opposite of what we're trying to accomplish..... As for the game, it was great to see a blow out like this after our last 3 disappointing games (last game was painful to watch even though we got the W)..... Other than our subpar defense, we were pretty much flawless......
