<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Toronto Star - Eric Williams knows this is not the place for him, and he's let the Raptors know, too. Stopping short of demanding a trade, the seldom-used veteran forward said he hopes Toronto general manager Rob Babcock can do something before the Feb. 23 trade deadline to help him out. "Definitely (a trade) would be the best thing," Williams said yesterday. "I'm still able to play. I've been a starter for 10 years of my career so I know I can help somebody win games. This is just one of those situations." Williams has been around long enough, though, to realize what he wants isn't necessarily going to happen. "Who knows? We'll see what happens," he said. "I'm qualified to play anywhere, and you can pretty much get anybody to sit on the bench, any young guy, give him a chance to come to practice, get some reps instead of me being in that position because I'm still able to play."</div> http://www.realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives..._wants_a_trade/
he hasnt been back from injury for more then 2 weeks, and he's already asking to be moved? good lord good...get him out. he hasnt done anything but bitch and moan as a raptor. im gonna go ahead and say that his reputation of being a consumate professional will hopefully get washed away by his days in toronto. what a joke.
Bobcock would be lucky if he got a piece of turd for Williams. This guy is a walking joke. I mean the Raptors are playing well, we don't need Eric Williams messing up chemistry.
haha what is this the 5 time in 2 years his demanded a trade doesnt he know no one wants him since they cant trade him and I think he'll be fined for this.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting The_Answer:</div><div class="quote_post">haha what is this the 5 time in 2 years his demanded a trade doesnt he know no one wants him since they cant trade him and I think he'll be fined for this.</div> He won't get fined for this. He didn't cry "Trade Me!" but rather wished he could be somewhere productive and hope that Babcock could "help him out". We get what he means but it's not finable material. I can only hope that Eric opts out of his contract after this summer so we can save some money. His highly touted defense has been non-existant in Toronto, and playing once a week is just right for someone like him. Joey Graham and Villanueva have earned their minutes with their play.
David Stern should make a rule that you have to be averaging at least one more point per game then Darko Milicic to demand a trade.
lol eric williams...... this guys makes me laugh what a clown, first of all he not even doing anything for the raptors what makes him think he can do anything for other teams? and second of all, daaaaaam he got the ugliest tatoo in the world, did anybody see the tat on his arm its JUST A CIRCLE!!! lol it looks so funny and anybody can find a pic of it that would be cool
any of you ever watch him play before he got to toronto? he was solid, unspectacular but solid. he hasn't done anything in toronto because he never got solid consistant pt. for whatever reason mitchell chose not to play either of the williams's that t.o got from nj. both were servicable and solid but they simply weren't used. i don't think there is anything unprofessional about wanting to go somewhere you will at least be appreciated. the man did start but after the trade sat at the end of the bench.

Jalen Rose outplayed him for that starting spot, and Williams just sulked after that. In the time he's gotten, he's not been doing anything well. His defense has fallen off, he's not as good offensively anymore as he was in Toronto, and the whole thing about him being a veteran leader never showed up in Toronto. Villanueva, Graham, Peterson and Rose have all outperformed him on the court; why should anyone receive the blame but Williams?
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting CrazyArtest:</div><div class="quote_post">You think they can get Artest from him and some other person?</div> lol...no raps dont want artest. we got a good chemistry down right now. no need to throw a monkey wrench in and ruin the team unity we have. artest is a headcase. he'd just bitch and moan about playing in toronto. no thanks to artest. id rather have a draft pick
