<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Newsday - Back spasms prevented Mike James from playing against the Knicks yesterday, but there's a possibility he could be playing for them next season if he opts out of the last year of his current contract and is available for the midlevel exception. "My only focus is getting my back right because if I don't do that, no one will want me," James said yesterday when asked if he would consider signing with the Knicks. "But it would be great to play at home. It would be great to play in front of my family every night. But right now, I'm a Raptor, and I enjoy being a Raptor." James was a favorite of Knicks coach Larry Brown when they won an NBA title together in 2004 with Detroit. Brown said the Pistons wanted to keep James, but he got a better deal as a free agent from Milwaukee last season before the Bucks traded him to Houston. "He was really missed last year [in Detroit]," Brown said.</div> http://www.realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives...tting_new_york/
Where are the Tim Duncan to the Knicks rumors? And the Shaq to the Knicks rumors? Everyone is rumored to the Knicks.
Next thing you know Rafer Alston is going to go to the Knicks. Hey, he's from New York. The New York media think that whoever is from New York or is an upcoming free agent will be a potential Knicks target.
Jalen Rose wouldn't mind going there aswell. http://www.nj.com/sports/ledger/index.ssf?...6940.xml&coll=1
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting rookie789:</div><div class="quote_post">man everybody loves new york</div> I'm not sure how true this is. There are a ton of rumors about players going to New York but how many players actually end up playing there? Not many. The reason so many players are supposedly "interested" in playing for the Knicks is mainly due to the fact that the New York media comes up with a new rumor every 1.7 seconds.
I dont see a reason not to like New York its the best place to 'ball' in the world, at MSG its gotta be great to play. Going home's probably even better, but yea I am kinda tired of these stupid rumors of Hometown players wanting to play for the teams for the sole reason of going back home.

Ummmmm..................hello!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The Knicks have something like a $130 million dollar payroll don't they????? Who wouldn't want to go to a team that is willing to throw that kind of money around?????? Lets see..........."shall I go to Toronto and be a back-up making 1.5 million a year..............or should I go to the Knicks and be a back-up making 6 million a year"??????
