    Yeah, I agree. Monty was using Ike as a defense-only Center anyway so we are better off with Foyle there anyway. I was just surprised...

    Ike will be starting again soon hopefully, just at the 4. I'm hoping Murphy gets moved before the trad deadline. As good as he is, he just doesn't fit. Davis is making everyone look good today. Back to back triple doubles?

    Looks like MP has his stroke back. Monty continues to refuse to play Ike at his natural position or even to give him the ball. The offense was running great without Monty's "offense" and just playing off of Baron.

    Goddamit Foyle. The guy needs to go back to the bench. We need somebody else at center. Anybody but him. He's my least favorite starter. The 2nd is Murphy and Dunleavy isn't too impressive at times. Forwards just always score on both their butts it seems.

    I think Adonal is lookin pretty good today. He's a role player, not every starter on every team has to be able to do it on both ends. Just look at Murphy on D. Dunleavy is doing it on both ends tonight too.

    He's doing all right, but we were counting on him to be a double double guy for us. That's why he got paid that much money. Now, it's like ugghhh...

    Bad bet.

    BTW what is up with Baron whacking Luke Ridnour in the chest?

    Ya, that was a cheap shot by Baron, sometimes I think he does stuff like that to fire himself up cause he plays better when he's angry.

    As for Adonal, I think we paid him to rebound and block shots, not necessarily score (except for junk points). If Ike were starting next to Adonal instead of Murphy, or even Zarko, you'd see Adonal rebounding more. Murphy goes to get the ball instead of sealing off his guy which pads his stats (I look at it like he's stealing boards from the rest of the guys). If Ike were next to him, I think he'd average about 1 more block a game too and get less fouls. Oh well...

    Never thought about that but I do agree that Baron plays better when hes angry.

    Also, I agree about Adonal, we didn't pay him to score we just paid him to rebound, block shots, etc. We've seen the same thing happen with both Foyle and Diogu in that when they play center they have to help out on every shot and they are forced to get out of rebounding poistion. Foyle has shown that he can rebound in traffic but Murphy's defense forces him to get out of position. I would like for Monty to expiriment and play Ike and Foyle together, hell any lineup with Ike at PF would be nice.

    I like what I see today. True, Seattle's short handed and has no inside presence, but the team is hustling on Today. Hopefully they stay in tune.

    i didn't realize that the game was on so early until i just came online...dammit. i didn't get to watch any of it, so for those of you who did, please answer a couple questions for me, if there even ARE answers:

    all i've seen is the stat sheet, so i know nothing else from this game...

    1. Peitrus went 7-9 from the field and 3-3 from 3, but only played 9.5 mins...i'm gonna give monty the benefit of the doubt and hope that's bc of the injury still...nobody who's having a game like that should play less than 10 mins EVER!!

    2. What the hell is up with Ike only getting 9 minutes?? It seems like he's one of our most efficient scorers, but he never gets opportunities. last time i looked (about 2 weeks ago), nobody in the NBA had a higher FG% than Ike that had taken more shots than him. I'm not mad that he didn't get the start, but he should be getting way more minutes that zarko, fish and andris. for god's sake, he only took 1 shot in the game!!

    3. Why do fisher and murphy combine for 55 minutes, when they combine for 4-15 shooting?? monty truly lacks the balls to sit a guy down when he's slumping. were their shots just not falling, or were they chucking up the usual ********* of late? it just seems like these two guys minutes could have easily been given to MP and Ike.

    4. And last, did our bench play as bad as it looks?? aside from MP, every other bench player that got in shot an 0 for. that's 5 guys that couldn't make a FG.

    Anyway, aside from my ranting, looks like we got a good win today. Hopefully by the end of next week, we'll be back above .500 and back in the top 8, where we belong.

    oh, and, good for baron on damn near completing his 2nd consecutive triple-double...1 rebound shy...monty should have let him stay in and grab that one.

    To answer your questions, 707to805:

    1. Pietrus had no trouble running or jumping on the knee today, hes probably not in game shape but even so he should have played more than 10 minutes.

    2. Monty is a total idiot. He puts Ike in horrible positions with him at C and Zarko or Dunleavy at the 4. He doesnt even give Ike the ball in the post when no one else on the floor is capable of scoring by themselves. I can't see how anyone can argue that he isnt a bad coach.

    3. Yes, Monty has no balls and he won't pull these guys let alone tell them to stop shooting. Fish and Murphy seemed to be playing their normals games. Murphy has been in a slump as of late, maybe because of his sprained ankle.

    4. Yes, other than MP our bench was pretty horrible. The players who suck get all the shots and the players who have skills can't get the ball.
