Well Eric Williams is available, do you guys think he is a good backup. He played pretty good for us last season. I would trade McInnis for him sincem I think they match salary wise.
From a character point, I like E-Will.But basketball wise, I dont think he will provide us with anything spectacular or special that puts us in any better position then we are already in. Think about it he is pretty much in the same sitaution that Lammond Murray was in, when we recieved him at the being of the year. He(Williams) is 33-34 years old and hasnt played significant minutes in about a year, since we traded him for Vince last year. Murray, was 32, and hadnt played significant minutes in over a year, when we got him. And Murray, clearly lost it in that year of sitting at the end of the bench. And I think it, sadly probably the same for a 33 year old E-Will. Its hard at the end of your career to find that fountian of youth, especially, when you havent really played in a year. So how much ,production wise, could we expect from someone like that?
How Soon We Forget I would check on the conditioning of Rodney Rogers. If he's 235 or less and can run two miles in under 12:30 and has been shooting about 500 18-20 shots a day, I would take him pronto. His best years were with Phoenix, Boston and Jersey; he plays decent defense, can pass, finish and hit the 3 well enough that the paint should open up for Carter. He has playoff experience and will boost the bench scoring by at least 8 points in 10-12 minutes.
I think that we have seen enough of Rodney Rogers. If he barely played well before, then now I highly doubt we will play barely sufficiently good. There is no space for E-Will on this team. Like, Henacy said so well, I like the guy's personality, but he just does not have anything to offer that the Nets do not have already.
I cannot honestly disagree with you about RR. But he was seldom injured, and he may be in shape to play half a quarter and open the floor for Jerseys' athletes; assuming RR can still hit the 3.
I would love Eric to return, but I'm not sure he can provide us with anything we don't have. Jeff is getting a lot of intrest from serious teams. Lets not waste it on Eric.. besides I don't really think Toronto needs another PG at this moment. James/Calederon is a good duo. They don't need a veteran presence because I doubt they're going to go to the playoffs anyway.
