<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">After what turned out to be a revitalizing two-month stint in the minor leagues, the Toronto Raptors have recalled centre Pape Sow to the National Basketball Association.

The 6-foot-10, 250-pound second-year player is expected to rejoin the Raptors tonight in Portland, where Toronto will play the Trail Blazers in the second of a five-game road trip.

"It's for us to re-evaluate him and see how he's progressed and also to make sure he stays connected with the team and everything," Toronto general manager Rob Babcock said yesterday, confirming that 24-year-old Senegal native has been recalled from the Arkansas RimRockers, the Raptors' National Basketball Development League affiliate in Little Rock.

"Whether he stays here the rest of the year or not is still to be determined," Babcock added.

A front-court of CV, CB, and Sow could cause serious match-up problems.. That's a lot of speed and length to deal with.. Add Calderon and Graham at the guard spots and that's a pretty decent young nucleus to build around.. Give these players time to mature together and Toronto could very well be on the rebound long-term..

This is definately good news .. maybe after watching hoffa suck one last time against the Jazz last night ... someone got a great idea in their brain that a "raw" pape sow still has wayy more use than the brazilian beast ever will.

I'm watching Sam Mitchell on the score and it seems like pape wont even play, he says there isnt any minutes for him right now, so whats the point of bringing him up?

i think they will let him play when Bonner is in foul trouble. I would love to see what sow can do on the floor since coming back from D-League. Plus its not like we have anything to lose.

I think a trade could be in the works, taht seem slike a plausible scenario. However, I don't think we should send Hoffa Down, send Loren Woods. WE need someone with Hoffa's bulk.

Sam Mitchell said that he doesn't have minutes for Pape. On the Fan today, they were discussing the possibility that this situation stems from Babcock telling Mitchell to give Araujo minutes. They suggested that Mitchell is trying to prove a point by giving Hoffa Sow's minutes. If it's true its a shame. Just another example of this franchise having a GM and coach that aren't on the same page. Unfortunately, Pape is the only loser in this whole situation.

Word is going around that Mitchel and Babs arent on the same page anymore. Babs called up Pape Sow but Mitchel realizes that Pape needs to grow as a player and being stuck to the bench isnt the best way to do that. So is Sow isnt even going to play, its another dumb move by the GM. But if he can come in and play 10+ minutes a game then its good for his future.

There is an internal catfight going on right now between Babcock and Mitchell. They don't even talk to each other and only communicate when Wayne Embrey is around to moderate and act as a go-between

Their relationship soured over the Rafer Alston madness last year, particularly when Mitchell and Alston had ot be separated in the dressing room in Cleveland

Babcock wants to see Sow in T.O. Sam wants to see anything but what Babcock wants, I guess

Personally, I think Sow has a lot to offer, exponentially so compared to Hoffa. In a worst case scenario I think you keep Sow and buy out Aaron Williams, especially once the trade deadline passes and if Williams is still on the roster at that point

    Have fun..............

Yep, i think Sow has a great chance to develop, not too sure if Hoffa has that much potential (if any).

    <div class="quote_poster">Quoting The_Answer:</div><div class="quote_post">NBA Draft.net on Araujo</div>

Araujo has the ability and desire to be a solid NBA contributor. Many teams with a lack of size and bulk will look hard at Rafael.

Weaknesses: Araujo is not a solid defensive player.... his aggressiveness on the glass causes him to get into foul trouble often, although he improved on that in his senior year. His jumper and ball handling are below par?.At 23, his upside may be questioned.

The finals analysis of him does not scream high lottery pick in anyway, but the sad thing is that he really was not a potential player.

I'm not going to comment on the subject matter itself, but I will take the time to challenge that particular source..

Let's not forget that nbadraft.net is notorious for not knowing what the hell they're talking about.. Martynas Andriuskevicius at #1?

    rofl..
