Since the question is being asked everywhere lately, we might as well discuss it here. With Shaq and Kobe having buried the hatchet in their feud, does the NBA have a good rivalry anymore? What are the rivalries? Or do you think that the league doesn't have a true rivalry anymore?

    Individual player rivalries?

Maybe Kobe Bryant vs. Ray Allen. Kobe seems to play extra hard on defense against him.

I think Kobe vs. Wade might develop into an interesting rivalry. They've had some heated exchanges in a couple games.

Shaq vs. Yao is, I think, an intriguing "rivalry", although it's a friendly one. They both like eachother. Same with Kobe vs. LeBron and T-Mac vs. LeBron.

No hatchet burried... they still hate each other. Just because they hugged in public on MLK Day, that just means they hugged in public on MLK day.

I don't like media-made rivalries. LeBron/Melo/Wade or Shaq/Yao etc. I like the battle of the best PFs (Dirk/Duncan/KG) or best Guards (Kobe/Allen/AI) etc. And even then, it only works when they're in contention. I like the Marion/AK-47 match-up too, for some reason.

I really enjoy watching the feud between Jason Kidd and Stephon Marbury.

I think everytime LeBron plays against Kobe it will be a great game and might develop more into an individual rivalry.

Outside the scope of superstars, I've enjoyed watching Raja Bell defend Manu Ginobili so far this season. In fact, Spurs & Suns in general are a good newish rivalry.

Down in Houston we kinda see Houston vs. Dallas as a rivalry since it always seems like Dallas always blows us out when we meet. [IMG]

And i can see a LeBron vs. Kobe thing going except that the face that Lebron loves Kobe [IMG]

I think that in the NBA, it's hard to have rivalries unless it is an old player goin' up against his old team. Other than that, NBA is just a group of elite b-ball players goin' up against each other.

-Unless u think every night should be a rivalry between any team...
