from boston's perspective: i would do it just because Jones is a good shooter and Gooden can you give you abt 16/9 per night

This is like giving two pennies for two nickels.

    AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

Dreams = true if this deal goes through.

Expect a new edition of the Manifesto if any of these rumoured trades works.

Any deal Boston can pull off unloading Blount's contract and not taking an ugly one back makes them a winner.

Why would Cleveland do this? Is there something I'm missing about Blount?

I guess Cleveland doesn't have anyone on their team who can constantly be made fun of?

    lol

I don't know why Cleveland would even take Blount. He's a good player and everything, but he's 31 and locked up through the '09-10 season and for the salary he's getting I have no idea why they would even do it. Goodens six years younger and has had better averages than Blount the past three years. Plus it would be pointless for the Cavaliers to go and trade one of their key offseason signings for a low post presence and a rookie guard. I definitely hope that this trade doesn't happen because the Cavs will regret it in the long run, that's what I'm saying.

I dont know what Boston Fans think of Mark Blount but personally I think he's a scrub, just from the idea of getting Gooden for Blount I'd do this deal, because Gooden is still young he can still be a 20/10 guy he's got improvement to do but he's not bad and he was a top 5 pick if Im not mistake so Memphis must've seen something in him.

This has to be a BS rumor. Gooden is having a career year. Why would Cleveland even consider making this trade?

This can't be right, I agree, there is no reason under the sun the Cavs make this deal, unless they actively want to see their team in decline. You'd think that Banks would have to be the kicker here, but he's not, he's not even that great, he's shown so little progress in Boston in the years he's been here, and yet still, here he is in the middle of these talks. Why?

Agreed...this deal would be a big time bust for the cavs...and even though i do like Gooden he would be taking up most of the playing time at the Nr4 spot...bad news for Al...i prefer the kandi trade to be honest.

The thing with Banks is he is a tease...few guards in this league have his footspeed and athletic ability...there will always be a coach or GM who thinks they can turn Banks into a quality PG...However the past 3 years have proved to me that Banks does not have it mentally to be a solid PG in this league...a true waste of talent

This seems like a good deal for the Celts but I just don't see this benefiting the Cavs in any way. Why would they ever want to add an average C that's making tons of money with 4 years left on his contract? I've always liked Gooden's play even when he was in college and Damon Jones is wet beyond the line. I don't know how much they are making and how much time is left on their contract so I can't comment on the salary part but talent-wise, this is looking good for the Celtics (if this deal ever happens...)
