<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Run BJM:</div><div class="quote_post">Neither player is clutch IMO. LeBron just doesnt have the Kobe/MJ type of killer instinct to put away games, alot of times down the stretch he passes too much when he should take a shot. Melo is just a plain old volume shooter so you can't expect him to hit that many clutch shots, but he does hit some (you're bound to hit a few if you take every last second shot though)</div>

He hasn't taken EVERY, he's taken 11. And hit over 50% of them. Good in my book.

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Bobcats:</div><div class="quote_post">You say he isn't clutch and then you follow that up by saying you havn't seen him that much this year. Why don't you ask Rockets fans if he's clutch. Don't forget to ask Dallas and Phoenix fans too. The kid is still only 21, he's got a long career ahead of him.</div>

So..what's that mean? He can practice clutchness? How would you do that? He can just learn to have killer instinct? Nope, that's not happening, Iverson, Wade, Garnett all had that intensity from day one.

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Leonardo:</div><div class="quote_post">He will become a clutch player sooner or later. It just takes more time and opportunity to establish that feat.</div>

How do you figure? Reggie didn't learn clutch. Peja won't learn clutch, MJ didn't learn it. Jerry West didn't learn it..Explain please.

LeBron just airballed a big free throw in the Cavs-Pacers game... but to his credit he made the second.

Yeah that was terrible, but at least the Cavs won. All the focus has been on LeBron, but the real key to Cleveland is Ilgaukas.

I was referring to Carmelo, not LeBron.

Just give it time. Lebron is still young and he'll learn with time what to do in clutch situations. No need to worry guys...

LeBron had the chance to hit 2 clutch freethrows during the Indiana game last night. He airballed the 1st one. That explains how clutch the boy is. I believe he is afraid of the big moment.

dont worry about lebron hes gonna hit more game winners hes still young and already a superstar, what im suprised about is hes averaging 31 a game and still maintain a almost 50% FG's, thats pretty nice, when iverson averaged 31 he shot 39% from the field

It's how a player comes back from the accusation laid upon them that they're not "clutch".

If Kobe can get egged on for shooting 3 air balls in a playoff and come back years later and prove himself as the clutchest player in the league (bar none), I'm sure Lebron can bounce back as well.
However, the fact that he was BITING HIS NAILS near the end of that Lakers/Cavs game a few weeks back isn't necessairly the best sign.

The man needs more experience, and he needs to stop looking for people and go for his own in the clutch.

Vince Carter tends to overpass a lot of times as well but when the games come down to it, if you give him the ball, he will score for you as needed on the majority of occasions (this was especially true earlier in his carreer....I remember there was one stretch where the Raptors had 4 buzzer beating game winners in 2 weeks....Vince nailed in three of those buzzer beaters and assisted one to Oakley)...A recent example would be the Nets/Raptors game...

Lebron has ways to go before he's considered clutch....but if he makes the playoffs and proves himself as clutch, all would be forgotten (as what happened with Wade in his rookie year...remember that floater?)
