LeBron James dominates the game differently than Jordan, Kobe or other players with the "killer instinct." He played the same way in high school and I don't see him changing his approach. LeBron already has "it" just look at how easy the game comes for him at only the age of 21.

What LeBron needs to improve on is his free throw shooting and defense. His approach to the game is fine and held to the standards of more experienced players.

If it wasn't for LeBron James, the Cavs would not have been in those 15 situations for him to win or loss the game.

That is true. The aim is to be out in front by 10 so you dont leave it to the last shot.

Get a load of that. 9 years till he hit his first game winner! And it isnt like AI is bad or anything, this guy pound for pound is the best in the nba.

Let's get this out of our heads first of all, Lebron is not the next Jordan. Everybody is saying that Lebron is still only 21 years old but look at it this way. When Jordan was 21 he was sinking game winners at the University of North Carolina. MJ had ice water in his vains his entire life and "it" just doesn't come to you as you get older. Lebron will be a special plaer, heck he might even make the Hall of Fame but please I want to end these MJ comparisons now.

Lebron doesnt have it.. maybe later but not now. They really did overhype him from his beginnings in the league.. I have never seen him do anything amazing really. Kobe, Vince, Wade can do amazing things. Lebron's highlights always end up with him jumping and doing the same old dunk over and over again in the rim, i dont even know why they ever bother to put him on highlight reels since its always the same thing.

    "Lebron makes Zydronas look good"
U mean Zydrunas makes Lebron look good, seriously if they didn't have Zydrunas there, Cavs would be a bottom feeder team. People would just dominate Cavs in the centre then Lebron would have to rush his shots trying to win it.

Lebron is good, but not great, at most he seems like a worker type player, he doesn't have much flash and when he has to battle opposing stars in the final seconds, he will come out on the losing end, but he somehow has more commercials than everyone else

This criticism is really getting tired. Why do so many people on this board make such a big deal about the diversity of his dunks? If it has no negative impact on actually winning games, it doesn't matter.

No kidding, 2 points is 2 points, it doesn't matter how it looks. Like Jordan always says, a lot of these young guys have million dollar moves, and a two cent finish.

I agree. I feel that Lebron is 10 times overrated..what's so special about him? Please tell me. Yes he can score 30 points, so what else can he do? Why is he being hyped like he's going to surpass MJ? I just don't see the "it factor" as well.

Plus the guy's head has grown so big that you can see it from the moon.

Well he's not just scoring 30, he's shooting 50% grabbing 6 boards and dishing 6 assists, but you can't blame lebron for being hyped its the media that does that. No current player should be compared to jordan at this point.

Kobe is the closest- but he cannot make his teammates better. Odom has more potential than Pippen offensively

Yes, at 21 Jordan was hitting great shots while at North Carolina but this is completely different. Hitting game-winners against college level opponents compared to NBA players? Also, if LeBron had gone to college his "list" included MSU, Duke and Ohio State. If you add LBJ to any of those teams do they lose any games? LeBron wouldn't have game-winning opportunities in college, the games wouldn't be that close at the end.

Hell yeah, LeBron had 51 pts and Cavalivers won the Jazz.
He made really nice shots and those 2 dunks were pretty sick.

My goodness, there will always be haters. To everyone that thinks LeBron isn't anything special, you do not know basketball at all. Honestly. Either you are so uneducated in basketball or you're just a hater. Simple as that.

He is 21 years old, averaging 31ppg, shooting close to 50% FG as a Small Forward, 6.7rpg, 6apg, and that's not special?? Stop drinking the haterade people. It's getting old.

im not saying he isnt a special player- in fact, i think he is a very special talent. What Im saying is that he doesnt have that killer instinct that the greats of the game have I.E. Wanting the ball in the pressure situation, rising to the occasion, etc.

Virve, working on your killer instinct is basically saying that he is getting more and more aggressive. If you don't think you can work on something like that, you must not know much about basketball, and getting better at basketball... nice try though.

Somewhat true. It's not something you can practice in the gym, or even go home and sit on the couch thinking about. You can't learn it from a book either. I think if you have to 'learn' it, it has to stem from some kind of negativity. Like those Kobe ads where you have all his criticisms and an exercise for each one. Until the media turns against LeBron, he won't have killer instinct anytime soon.

True, but he's had game winning free throws, and steals. AND it doesn't count how many times he's hit a shot for the tie or lead with __ seconds left.

Tim Duncan was the future of the NBA 8 years ago. Today, Chris Paul is the future. Lebron is another great player, but the other two have the Bruce Lee conquering spirit. The next 8 belong to Paul. Why don't we call his team the Southwest Hornets with the new "Pauldome" in New Orleans, with games in OK City (20) and a few in Baton Rouge and St. Louis? Seriously, Lebron James needs to get out of Cleveland because that Franchise should have gotten a great point guard by now (at least the Spurs beat the bushes for T. Parker and coached him to greatness). James needs to go to Chicago or Washington where he can win a ring. The Hornets will win the Championship in 2008 or no later than 2009. Dallas is bringing it home for the next two years.
