no full game thread, so i thought id start a thread to discuss the events from the game... that foul on mo pete at the end against juan dixon that sent him to the line to essentially win the game from them, was SUCH B.S.! juan stumbled, was falling, and completely out of control...where was the foul? i watched that replay over and over, and i was REALLY hard pressed to find a foul. i really wanted to find one, because i didnt want to have to blame the refs for another blown call that cost us the game....ugh! on the plus side, i think i can say that jalen is officially out of his horrible slump he was in to start the season. he's been great over the passed few games. im not hating as much anymore lol
What kind of execution down the stretch was that? With 2 seconds left and the Raptors inbounding, Mitchell drew up a play that was basically having each player stand somewhere and someone would get the ball individually. None of the players had the room to move to get open, which is expected with a game down the line. Why couldn't Mitchell have Bosh or Bonner set a pick or two so that Jalen or Mike James could get some space to get the ball. Instead, Bosh would have to come out to the three point line and get the ball and try to bail us out. What kind of coach is Sam Mitchell?

reason you lost the game? maybe cause you lost im really tired of going to raptor boards and everyone is crying and blaming other people for the loss it was the refs fault vs portland it was refs fault for kicking out mo pete we sucked cause vince was a baby take a loss like a man...i stuck with the raptors when we were losing like crazy in 02-03 and 03-04....we didnt have a good team and i saw improvement dont blame everyone for your losses

With their talent level, if they aren't outworking other teams they are going to lose I hope to see better effort and cohesion tonight in Seattle, otherwise they could be 0-3 and looking at the very real possibility of an "0-fer" trip Have fun.............

It wasn't the refs fault we dug ourselves into that deep hole that had us down 17 points in the third, which required us to play near perfect basketball in order to win. And it also wasn't the refs fault that we couldn't execute down the stretch. Maybe it wasn't your intention to blame this one on the refs but when you have the phrase "refs screw us again" in the title of a post game thread, it will probably come across as just senseless bickering... I can understand if it were one of those cases where the refs were clearly favouring one team over the other, but in this case, it doesn't apply....
It doesn't matter if we couldn't execute down the stretch or whether we fell behind by 17 points. It was a BAD call. Yes, we didn't play a good game but that doesn't change the fact that the refs blew that call. There is really no argument here. Was it the only reason why we lost? No. Was it part of the reason we lost? Wow what a heated conversation board.. Yes that game raps got screwed.. but I looked at it another way.. since the raps were down by so much, and the blazers were more or less consistent for the first 3 quarters.. the refs decided it wasn't really fair for the raps to just show up in the 3rd to 4th quarter to win it, that they'd have to play near perfection. The refs sort of decided the fate of the game, but the blazers may have deserved it more.. like a little something for playing so consistently in the first 3 quarters.. but anyways, that call wasnt deserved but it sort of happens in all of the nba so no big deal, we're not the only ones to get screwed

I was just stating that if you create a post game thread such as this one where it appears that you directed all the blame for the loss squarely on the refs and completely ignored all the main factors, then it will come across as bickering..... especially toward non-Raptor fans visiting our board. I understand that you were angered at the time you created the thread, but that's why it's always best to wait a while to let all your emotions settle before posting (as corny as that sounds)..... trust me, you'll have a clearer view on things....
