Duke is playing Georgetown today at the MCI Center in Washington, DC. This is going to be Duke's toughest test until they play at Boston College on Febuary 1st. Here's what Yahoo! had to say about the game:

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Duke has won three national championships and made 10 Final Four appearances, but never in the 101-year history of the program has it started a season 18-0.

That's the record the top-ranked Blue Devils will be going for when they visit Georgetown (11-4) on Saturday.

Duke began the 1991-92 season 17-0 before falling 75-73 to North Carolina, and ended up winning the national championship over Michigan. Including this season, it's had four starts of 15-0 or better.

"Some of the things that are being written are just overdone about our team, and that's the world they live in," said Duke coach Mike Krzyzewski. "Are they going to go undefeated? Are they going to do this? We're starting Lee Melchionni and Sean Dockery. You didn't even say that when we had Bobby Hurley, Christian Laettner and Grant Hill, so it's just extreme.</div>

    Yahoo!

As much as I would love to see the Dukies go down I'm going to have to say it'll be 72-65 Duke in a rather close game.

I really like this Georgetown team, and I think big Roy Hibbert will be able to hold Shelden Williams to an off night, but Duke should win this one easily. They've just got much more talent top to bottom.

    Prediction:

    Duke - 82
    Georgetown - 74

(Although I'd love to be wrong. [IMG])

I don't even think this game will be close. Georgetown is a tourney team, IMO, but I don't think they have enough offense to keep up with Duke. Georgetown has a few underrated players that I'm interested in watching like Brandon Bowman and Jeff Green...

Georgetown was up 14 at halftime and it's now down to 12 with Redick at the line with about 16 left. Georgetown really is looking good, they could seriously pull the comeback. Shelden Williams has been on existent today goign 1-7.

Georgetown is up 10 with 9:20 left. Shelden Williams picked up his 4th foul and is on the bench.

Here comes Duke, only down 7 with 7:43 left. Refs kept Duke in the game with a couple of ticky tack fouls to send Redick to the line.

This is a great game and I'm really hoping Georgetown can pull off the upset. They are playing great right now but they keep making stupid turnovers and that could spark a Duke comeback. The score is 68-61, Georgetown lead right now with 6:45 left. This is going to be a great finish and if your not watching this right now, I suggest you turn to CBS.

Well that does it, Georgetown pulls it off. 87-84. Paulus made a lot of key turnovers to blow it and Georgetown was trying to blow it after they missed a couple free throws down the stretch.

Yes but I don't care at this point. UNC is going no where this season and a Duke loss is almost like a UNC win at this point [IMG]

This day has been wacked out so far (Pitt falling to St. John's as well) so I'm definitely curious to see how tonights games turn out (Syracuse v. Villanova & UConn v. Louisville)
