Its totally true....he had 37 the other night and I was like "good solid game, keep his stats up" but it's not incredible A couple years ago I was always sooo pissed that I saw Iverson lighting it up and I was like, why doesn't Kobe do that....I'd see kobe have 25 and Iverson have 47 and it would make me mad because like everybody, I knew Kobe could score more if the offense allowed... Now- Kobe can do WHATEVER he wants...and life is good.

If Kobe drops 62 again, I'll probably think "as expected" or something. It's crazy. Maybe, in years to come, we will look back when the scoring averages are back down to 28ppg, and really appreciate whats happening right now. Right now, its as expected, but in the future, we'll be like "I can't believe he went through a season scoring 34 points a game."
I get that feeling too, but that has a lot to do with his increase in shot attempts though ... I know when I see that Kobe scored only 35, I know he probably went 12-33 or something like that.... When he hits 40, then I know he probably hit about 45%+ of his shots, and when he goes for high-40s low-50's, that he hit 50%+ of his shots...
now it's kinda like "oh how much more can he score per quarter compared to the other team" but thats just me xP
It's funny how almost every player who has commented on Kobe scoring 81, has made a reference to video games. "I can only do that in a video game." "I don't think I could even do that in a video game." "He scored 81 in real life, or in a video game?"
